Flawless Victory

Mortal Kombat II is a decent game for Sega Game Gear. You don't get all of the characters, but the game still gets the job done. Sub Zero, Scorpion, Mileena, Kitana, Liu Kang, Jax, Shang Tsung, and Reptile are among your selection of kombatants. You can fight Smoke and Jade if you do what is needed. This makes up for Rayden and Johnny Cage being left out. For the first time on Game Gear, you get to do a Pit Fatality. The graphics are nice for what the Game Gear has to offer and the music isn't bad either. The finishing moves are slightly different for Reptile, Liu Kang and Jax though. All in all, the fatalites are cool. Sub Zero's Deep Freeze is my favorite of them all. Kintaro and Shao Kahn definitely put up a fight in this version. If you enjoyed the first Mortal Kombat game, be sure to add this to your collection. This one gets the job done. Great button mashing game, good gear to gear game

Great button mashing game, but a little skill in time can help :-) This game is best with gear to gear. Not a bad game certainly not like the arcade or even the consoles of the time. It is however a two player capable game with two arenas and many characters. using the start button as the block was neat also.Read full review...
