I purchased the Motorola Rzr V3 for my mother inlaw.

I bought this phone for my Mother in law to replace the old Motorola she had. She liked her old one but it stopped charging so this was a good inexpensive way to upgrade her phone. She likes it bc it is easy to use, and it's simple. She uses the phone primarily for calls, but she is learning to text, too. It has plenty of memory for what few pictures she has on it, and we can select different ringtones for her contacts so she doesn't have to get her glasses out to see who's calling.
I used to have a Motorola myself, and I had the same problem that she had with her old one, it stopped charging. I don't know if it is a coincidence or if this is a problem with Motorola phones, but for the price it's worth trying. Other than that, we both liked our Motorolas. If they came out with a Smart Phone comparable to the Iphone I would definitely try it.

Old but reliable

A simple but user friendly flip phone with features only those less than tech savy consumers can appreciate. There are several models of the popular but now outdated RAZR phone. I've had two and can appreciate their ability to take abuse. The cat knocked my first one on the concrete floor breaking the front display. The phone still operated but I optioned to use the insurance to replace it. Because the RAZR is no longer available I took what they offered as a "replacement". The replacement may have been a nice phone but it's like breaking in a new pair of shoes so I returned it and bought a used RAZR on eBay for less than $20. Some day I may get a Droid or Smartphone but my RAZR is still on the job for now.Read full review...

Excellent and reliable phone

The RAZR is a great phone ... I had an original that lasted me 9 years, no battery changes and great reception. Even when it died, it could still make calls but the screen was black. I loved the phone so much I went and got one on ebay -- unfortunately it was in terrible shape, cracked, etc. -- I could not get a refund so I stopped there. It's a great phone but check to see if it's a newer model. There is one stupid problem with the RAZR phone -- on my original, there was no way to tell the time while you were talking on it -- literally no such display existed. That turned out to be a real pain, so maybe they upgraded that on later models ...Read full review...

Motorola RAZR V3 (AT&T)

Even though the RAZR is not the latest and greatest, It Is a GREAT phone.
I Like/Love Motorola products. They are rugged and work forever.I bought the RAZR V3 to replace the one I lost. My son had one and I liked the speaker phone part of it. He always carried it in his lap in the Tahoe and never remembered to retrieve it before he got out. Countless times it hit the concrete or asphalt, and never seemed any worse for wear. I had my replacement for almost a day before I fumbled it and it hit the Concrete... Hard. Not a scratch on it and It has been dropped since and still works. The phone has more features than I will ever use. I am not sure how many phone numbers the RAZR will hold, but I have never been able to max it out. One thing I don't like is the color display....Easy to read inside, but must be covered or in the shade for me to see it in bright sunlight. As a Oilfield Electrician and Instrument Tech My company Motorola cell was exposed to Harsh Electromagnetic and Electrostatic fields along with rain and lots of dirt. Always worked. The RAZR is almost always able to acquire a signal, Even in Elevators and steel reinforced Concrete buildings.
For me the RAZR would be the perfect phone if it had a black and white display that I could see in the sunshine. Maybe that will change after my cataract surgery. $36 on E bay with two GOOD batteries and a charger. Battery life is great I can go three days or more without a charge, depending on use. I LOVE my RAZR If you want an inexpensive RUGGED WORKS ANYWHERE phone Get a RAZR.
If You want a touch the screen and move the pictures with your finger or whatever, get an Iphone.
$200-$300 with a 2 year contract AT&T Jan 2011 Son Got one Great phone
ME..... I LOVE my RAZR

Great phone

This is probably the best phone ever made, too bad Motorola didn't keep building upgraded model phones with this form factor, but there is less profit in building a durable user friendly phone than in building ones that quickly break or dissappoint. This phone is small, thin, easy to use highly customizable. This is the 3rd RAZR I've owned.
Dislike: the only problem I've had and the reason for replacement is the glass screen on the outside display is fragile and easily broken if placed in a pocket with other items. I will continue buying and using this model phone as long as I can.

Sleek, thin, functional- all in one profile.

How did this phone reach the top of the mobile market?
It perfectly combined design with functionality.
Most people need a mobile phone that can just make calls.
I can't think of a single phone that does it better than the Razr while keeping a slim and beautiful design intact. This phone makes excellent calls. It's not going to have the bells and whistles of today's smartphones, but if you're looking for a solid phone that spots a revolutionary design with great basic phone features, then look no further than the Motorola RAZR.Read full review...

The Razr is very user friendly and reliable.

I bought this phone because it's easy to use and I can zip through everything I need to do. I like the texting ease on this phone. Easier than most I have used. The only complaint I have is that the memory is not very big and you can't hold many emails in memory. Easier to use than most phones I have used and great phone reception.Read full review...

Razor

I bought this phone because my son recommended it. He has had several upgrades over the past few years and he always goes back to his razor. It is durable, easy to use, has great audio, holds a good battery charge for 3 days. It is sleek and has a great appearance. I bought a skin for mine and it is great plus now it matches my handbag. Our cell service had a tower go down and when I called it in the customer service rep at AT&T told me that razor had one of the best and strongest built in antennas there is available. I am very pleased with my purchase.Read full review...

Meets my needs

I love the RAZR Phones, they are sleek, easy to carry and include all the features that are important to me. I actually bought this phone on ebay as a back up to my present RAZR because you cannot find them in stores. I have had my old RAZR phone for a number of years and have dropped it on concrete and it still works fine. I have no need for a smart phone since I don't surf the web or use text(although the phone will do these tasks) etc. I use calling calling features, bluetooth, ringtones etc. and connect via Motorola phone tools for changes and up dates. Easy to use, Love it!!!! 8/01/14 Don't know where this review came from. I never bought a Pink Razr. Chbaymd
