This is a wonderful movie! Even though I have seen it many times, it is one of our favorites, so I decided to buy it on DVD! Typical Cary Grant movie - funny, light and family fare! This movie is said to be the first Money Pit, like the one with Tom Hanks. I have been a fan of the Tom Hanks Money Pit ever since the first time I saw it.I thought it would be nice to see where the idea came from, so I bought Mister Blandings builds his dream house. Mr. Blandings Dream House

It's an old fashioned movie, with Cary Grant and Myrna Loy. A city couple decided to move to the country, but the quaint little cottage they found had to be totally torn down and rebuilt. I bought this movie on recommendation from Martha Stewart. It was wonderful, has a good sense of humor and a sweet and timely message. The story made me appreciate what we have today and the way "things use to be".

Definitely the right title for this movie

For those who have built a home--this movie will bring back memories. Of course, Gary Grant is wonderful as is the rest of the cast. A humorous look at what should be a relatively simple purchase.
