Great forgotten movie.

This was a good dvd transfer. Love this movie. Remember it when it first came out. We recorded it on an RCA 3/4 very. Watched it till the tape ruined.

It stays true to the real story

My ex husbands family has lived in Meriwhether county, right next to Coweta county, for about 100+ years and his grandfather hung around some of the characters.
My ex-mother in law, who was a teenager at the time, said the book was very accurate. The movie covered the story accurately, too, considering the story was told in a 2 hour movie.
