Works surprisingly well
You have a couple of choices: (1) Use the paper filter with the plastic circle on top or (2) take the time to fit the aluminum foil tops on the capsule. The instructions are clear and if you follow them you probably won't have any problems. I used the paper filter option first and it worked perfectly, but the second time not so much. Maybe I didn't fill the Vertuoline capsule well enough. The aluminum foil option has never failed but I did notice that once when I didn't fill the capsule just right I had a slight problem getting the Nespresso machine using my refill. (I unplugged it then plugged it back in to reset - but I've had to do that with standard Vertuoline capsules on occasion.) Also, I should note that you can probably only use the old Vertuoline capsules a limited number of times because they might get dented up and cause some problems with the machine reading the barcodes under the capsule rim. Too thick
I think too thick and weak adhesive tape. so it`s not confortable make a capsule. this is second purchase but the first one is better.

Well worth it!
The foil replacement tops are excellent. The hardest part was trying to remove the OLD original foils from the capsules—ha! But yeah...I’ll buy more of these foils.
I cleaned out 20 capsules, I saved 2 boxes and now I’m going to fill all 20 capsules (10 in each box). Then I’ll reuse them again. Once you clean out the capsules, you’re home free because of the foils!Read full review...

It broke my machine!
It doesn’t seal good and it ended up clogging the needle and broke the machine. Luckily I had bought the machine from Costco and I was able to return it. Also, doesn’t help the machine to brew the coffee with strong flavor like the original Nespresso pods did. Saving Money, More Variety!
I LOVE refilling my VirtuoLine Pods! I usually wash them out and refill them once a week - and do it while watching TV (from the kitchen counter.) I am able to buy a variety of espresso. While I like the decaf from Nespresso, the other espresso flavors they offer are not to my liking. I keep a sleeve handy just in case I run out of my "homemade" pods.
PLUS, I am saving BIG! Instead of $1.10 a cup (or so), I buy a can of Italian Espresso (at Home Goods!) for about $5.99 and it will refill 30 pods. There is definitely a knack to getting the stickers on straight, but they are a BRILLIANT solution to the challenge of wanting to enjoy a variety of coffees.
