Great head lamp
The things I appreciate most about this particular unit are number one the fact that you can turn the unit off from any setting with one quick click. When you turn it back on it resumes that same setting level! If you haven't used one of these before it probably sounds stupid, but I have several which require me to hammer through multiple settings every single time I turn the light off. That is just straight out annoying!
#2 construction. All metal body, well designed multiple detent angle adjuster. Concealed charge port to keep out dust and dirt.
#3 the unit is very light. Even with the milled aluminum body. What I'm working I frequently forget that the lamp is still on my head. I have several that are much beefier and annoying because of weight and girth.
Overall design. Battery is built into the front head piece. In my work I am commonly laying on my back under a sink cabinet etc. Many of my other units have a battery which resides in the back of the unit. If you're standing up it's not that much of a problem. However laying down there is that constant lump that you are trying to maneuver around. With this light the only thing other than the headlamp is a thin band that goes around it.
The magnetic base. I have not had occasion to use that much in the few weeks that I have been operating this headlamp. However, I do a reasonable amount of HVAC work as well. I can see that feature coming in very handy and those operations.

When we bought our first Transcend headlamp, we were thrilled. That was then, now, after having to buy our FOURTH one, not so much any more. The biggest problem with this pricey item is it's poor method of charging. The charging port on the lamp eventually wears out making it unable to take a charge. A zoom feature to fine or pin point the beam of light would be helpful as well.

Having invested in many headlamps over the decades, we finally have stumbled upon a company that manufactures things the OLD FASHIONED WAY ... meant TO LAST.
Many of the recent headsets we have invested in have the same issues, the headset technology used to hold it in a given position fails (wears out) and no longer stays where you put it. I don't see this piece used to hold the headlight failing or wearing out anytime soon. BRAVO to Nebo, good job.
Again, like as in our review of the flashlight, a fine-point focus of the light would be the one thing making this device PERFECT.

Great value and engineering for the price!
With a provided / removable 18650 battery, the recharge function is quite good. This battery holds a lot of charge, is interchangeable with many other items, and is readily available. I carry a couple in my EDC so the Nebo headlamp should be very compatible with my stuff without its own proprietary setup. The recharge port is cleverly hidden under the switch bezel, and accessed by unscrewing it out, so it will never get dirty, wet, or be "chewed" off as other brand rubber covers tend to do. The lamp itself is bright and has 3 levels. I use the lowest level most of the time, but have used the high setting to illuminate trails on moonless nights. Not an old generation LED either.
