Great Action Movie In The Indiana Jones Vein

My favorite Nicholas Cage movie. It is an excellent action/suspense free-for-all and I recommend it highly. It's in the vein of an "Indiana Jones" movie and almost as good. I had this one on an old, standard DVD but want to view the Blu-ray format in my newer, home theater setup. The sequel is a good one also. Will acquire it later.Read full review...

Awesome Sequel

I was lucky enough to get National Treasure 1 and 2 in Blu-ray. I ended up watching National Treasure and National Treasure 2 back-to-back so if National Treasure 2 hadn't been up to par, I probably would have stopped it and finished watching it some other time. Thankfully, it's a great sequel that is just as fun and entertaining as the first one. Lots of action and adventure, a great cast, and almost perfect PQ and SQ. Hard to go wrong with that combination. So, if you're a fan of the genre or liked the first one, don't be afraid of the sequel, it's highly recommended. For those interested in extras, don't think you'll be disappointed either. Book of Secrets comes fully loaded and the extras are in HD.Read full review...

National Treasure really is a Treasure

This is a wonderful movie. If you like American History it's a must-have. It's a timeless movie that the whole family can watch. The storlyine is terrific and Nicholas Cage is at his best. He plays a sort of a brilliant, attractive, geek and nails it perfectly.

It's nice in blu-ray, but your not going to like it for it's visual beauty, rather, for the beauty of the story, our Constitution, and the gripping events and courageous men that founded our country. It is just as enjoyable on regular DVD as it is on blu-ray. That makes it a movie worth buying! I think that it ought to be in every American's home-movie library.Read full review...

National Treasure [Blu-ray] & National Treasures 2 [Blu-ray]

It was just as I thought fun to watch and to see how some of the shots where done. Will watch them again and again with hope of a rainy night and a nice wine and popcorn. What a way to watch movies.

Great Movie, Blu Ray disappointing

The movie itself is great. Lots of History presented as clues in a treasure scavenger hunt across the US, with lots of action, but very clean for the whole family. I was disappointed with the Blu-Ray, however. I own a 1020p HD projector that projects a 130" image, and the video quality seemed practically the same as a DVD. National Treasure Blu-ray

WOW! What a great film to see on blu-ray. I was really impressed and the sound quality was even better than original DVD as well. Pictures much cleaner in step-sequence shots and with the better sound, if you have a good surround system, you'll want to send the kids out for the night and crank this up! This really was like watching this movie again for the first time. You gotta upgrade to blu-ray on this title!
