Best maintenance practice

The NcStar rings are very well made. However, the ring screws should be a hardened type of fastener. 25" lbs is the standard torque. These screws maybe metric ? Without being too much of a pain, you may need to re-thread ring inserts. Standard screws might be 6-48, 8-36, 8-40. Leupold or Badger screws are available, may require drill bit & tap. These will now be stronger than a suspension bridge. You can turn scope mounting into a fine science by lapping & bedding the base & mounts. Just don't drop it.Read full review...

I'm No Novice at mounting scopes, and have used several aluminum rings thread pulled out way before torque specs were reach waste of money, waste of time, Not even worth the return !
