Everything you could ever want in a sitcom!

I remember this show!! I loved the hell out of it when it aired! But alas, it ended all too soon....Definitely one of those "brilliant but cancelled" shows. Adored by critics, underappreciated by the public. Made (and had ended) way before it's time. It's tragic because it's not very often you can find a show that works so well on so many levels (except ratings, sadly *frown*).

I loved everything about this show. The story (granted a little contrived, but they put enough twist into it to make it work!), overall design, the quirky music, (I even loved the hairstyles!), the timing, the writing, THE JOKES!! Oh god the jokes!! Dripping with devilish wry!! Cunning quips and one-liners (Particularly with my #1 fave lead character, Ned. Thomas Haden Church totally OWNED the show, IMO) and the dynamics between the lead/supporting characters are captivating....The equal doses of chemistry/friction and the wild shifting between the two. I would sit fascinated, just hanging on to hear their responses/reactions to the other's wisecrack. Especially Ned ^_^ As entertaining as he is however, I find more of a kindred in Amanda. Ned doesn't seem at all like the kind of guy I'd ever want to be friends with, but he's one I'd definitely want to take notes from *LOL*

When I brought it home, I watched it w/my husband who had never even HEARD of the show (if not for me *heheheh*) and wanted (well, half-assed wanted) to find out, once and for all, what I've been talking about all these years. He was not only hooked from the 1st episode, he loved it so much he wanted to go through ALL the episodes in the entire box!! "You know that's a 3-DISC SET, right?!?" I told him "That's almost 25 EPISODES!!" I had to stop him at the end of the 2nd disc....it was worn OUT!! I WAS WORN OUT!! As big a fan I happen to be of this show, THAT'S TOO MUCH, even for ME!! I reminded him that these episodes were originally spread out over a series of months...*sigh* But then again, that's just like him to wear out that which he loves the most *wink* ;.P

P.S. The special features were nice, especially the "reunion interview"...Although I was sort of under the impression it would be the cast coming together again instead of each cast member interviewed seperately...You know, actually putting the "reunion" in the "reunion interview". A tad disappointing. But I realize, since it's been so many years, they must all be busy w/their own things now.

Some more commentaries or a blooper reel would have REALLY put this collection over the top!!! Hope that's not too much to ask for when the 2nd and final season comes out...that is, IF it does. I for one am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Ned and Stacey writers and original actors should return with a sequel.

I purchased the series after seeing Ned and Stacey episodes on TVGN in 2012. I liked this series so much that I would love to see a sequel using the same actors and continuing on the same themes but with growth in the characters. It was a well written and even believable piece of comedy. The humor was inserted so cleverly that I frequently laughed out loud. Although the show originally aired years earlier, I did not watch the series until 2012, yet it did not feel outdated. It seemed that Ned and Stacey were on their way to something more in their relationship when the series abruptly ended. Clarity and sound of the DVD's was excellent.Read full review...

Fun show

Interesting storylines and entertaining show. Filled in some missing bits for me and it was nice to see the Twin Towers standing. I think Ned is related to Mick Jagger..js

I always loved Ned & Stacey ever since the series debuted on FOX. When I heard the First Season was avalible on DVD I jumped on it! I went to every on the planet and no one had it. I was lucky to find it on Ebay! Remember Before: King of Queen and Will & Grace there was Ned & Stacey!Read full review...

Amazingly funny and completely under-rated!

This has to be the funniest series I have ever seen...It is a shame it only lasted two seasons with only the first season being offered on DVD...

Excellent Show!

What a shame this series was so short-lived. Some excellent comedic moments! Thomas Haden Church and Debra Messing were phenomenal the way they worked off of each other.

Amazing TV show. Worth every cent!

A truly amazing performance for Thomas Haden Church to be in and to give off, and with Debra Messing. I would recommend a TV series such as this on DVD or Blu-ray as well.
