Great Racing Game

This is another one of those Electronic Arts Need for Speed Releases. This game has nice story, the videos in there are excellent quality. The only thing is that the graphics are not as good as expected. It is actually less graphic then the previous release. The cars in there are nice and hooked up. Races and handling are great. Great Fun for Adults - No Nudity or Blood

I bought this for my 50 yr old husband for Christmas and he can't stay away from it. He is HOOKED. The Canyon driving is a real challenge. The game is difficult to beat as the booklet doesn't tell you how to win each level. I had to go find Cheat Codes on the internet to figure out what to do in the Career level. Having the NOS is pretty cool and as an ex-con, he loves evading the police, being able to hide from them, and droping things on them. I think the game could be more challenging if the cops were a bit more aggressive. Even when 4 ciops surround you, there is a way out - - not realistic. It would be cool if the driver could get out and run away. We really like the fact that there is no nudity or blood. I've seen some reviewers refer to the graphics - - if I want EXCELLENT graphics, then I watch TV. This is a game and for that purpose, it's perfect. It's not like the graphics are blurred or anything like that - - you know exactly what you are looking at.

I bought this game because I like the need for speed games. I found it to be very short if you just play it through. I found the reward cards and challenge series to be a waste of time. I thought the storyline was weak. The graphics were good and I liked the addition of muscle cars. There were no hard races in the carreer mode. My friend told me this game was great and even after a week he said it wasnt a great game.

If you are thinking of buying this game find a way to play it first to find out if you will really enjoy the game as it was a huge disappointment to me.

i think that this game is a excellent game with pretty good graphics for the playstation 2 counsel. the story line is good and the cars are awesome, the body kits, wheels, and the vynals are allot better than most wanted. the only thing that i particularly did not like was the autoscoping for the bodykits for the old cars such as the camaro ss, plymouth hemi cuda ect, but the other cars the autoscoping was pretty cool. other than that its a great game for those people who like racing games.Read full review...
