THE BEST! Mario, Where Have You Been? I've Missed You!

Oh my goodness! I was so excited when my kids got this game for their Nintendo DS Systems. The fun times with Mario & Luigi are BACK!

This is a TERRIFIC game! I have all good things to say with the exception of one. I wish it were longer. I beat the entire game in 20 hours. I am no gamer but I do love this one. It's a classic!

It is a upgraded version; very similar to the one some of us grew up playing on the Original Nintendo Entertainment System back in the day. The graphics are phenomenal! So crisp & colorful! Great Sound!

Same story & Characters...Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Koopas, Toads, Mushrooms, Venus Fly Traps etc.

You start off by playing as Mario (or Luigi if you know the **secret**). Of course your goal is to rescue Princess Peach (yet again). That chick is trouble! You go through world by world defeating the boss in each of the castles trying to find your princess. There are secrets around every corner. Fun stuff!

There are some upgrades to this version such as new moves, Mini Mario, Giant Mario, Secret Stars, Mega Mushrooms, Mini Mushrooms, Secret Levels, Secret Challenges, Special Backgrounds Patterns & Cannon Warps.

You can find this game at a great price right here on eBay or at a hobby shop. Have fun!

This is a great game for all ages. I have had a fun time sharing it with my kids. :o)

Everybody is buying this game, why not me too. I remember playing the original mario on NES for HOURS at a time. I even remember playing it on the arcade machine at the local gracery store--ahh--those were the days. Anyway, if you liked the old school mario, you are definitly going to like this one. It sticks to the roots of the 2D mario, and does not add anything too fancy. Kids and adults will like this one the same. The real prize on this game is the multiplayer and the minigames. when you link up to play the minigames, it's almost like a smaller version of "Mario Party". An awesome bonus that you can also play in single player mode. The Mario vs. Luigi battles are intense as you set your rules and then race to collect stars before the other player gets them. If you have a DS, you might as well get this game, along with the Mariokart. These games are just two classics everyone loves--and you can play them anywhere. Even in the top of the old oak tree--or waiting in line to buy the new Paris Hilton CD.Read full review...

Sweeeet.

Super Mario Bros. was excellent. Now for the new millenium the new generation of DS gamers will be able to witness the beauty of SMB. With the Mini Mushroom, Giga Mushroom, and Koopa Shell Mario has some nice new elements to this game. Most importantly it introduced a new system that made getting extra lives a breeze due to the fact that you can lose them so easily. It also made worlds 4 and 7 unlockable so you could skip them making the game shorter. Altough the bad part is you can only save after completing a Castle stage but that is better than the Old SMB where you couldn't save at all. It incorporated a system of currency known as Star Coins into the act which could be used to buy your way into Mushroom houses were you could get power ups such as the Giga Mushroom which if used in the right place can earn you up to five lives. Boos and other new enemies are also added to the game but the fact you only fight Bowser three times disappoints me slightly since Bowser Jr. isn't much of a challenge at all.Read full review...

Not the Same - but Good in its own way

I bought this in hopes of reliving the old 8 block Mario games on the SNES.
It's a really good game, entertaining - but something about it just wasn't the same. Although the graphics were AMAZING - I really felt like I was playing in the same world for too long. We need a change of scenery every now and then! The developers might have used the same resources more than usual to try and make the game longer- and I felt it.

So the progression might be slow and redundant - but really, a good game.Read full review...
