This is a re-make of the Big Band songs by, in my opinion, one of the greatest bands of our times, the band Chicago. I have performed music all my life, so I can appreciate what these guys have done with these songs. Chicago Night and Day Big Bands

Excellent CD the music from the swing era was great and the interpretation on this album truely shows the musical skill that made Chicago the band that they are. I recommend this CD to all who truely love Chicago and to those who love Big Band music. It is hard to believe that a small band can make the music that Chicago has put on this CD. Chicago's Night & Day CD

I absolutely love this CD. Chicago has a way of taking a song and stamping their own signature on it. This is a fun, refreshing romp through the big band and swing era. the title cut is distracted somewhat for the first minute while you suffer through the 'jungle sounds'--not sure why that fits but once the real music starts...the magic begins. A mix of Old and New

Big Band music with a modern twist. A nice mix of old and new. Clear sound, absent is the echoed acoustics from the 40's. Easy to listen to as soft background music.

Not a typical Chicago album.

A good album to buy if you are a Chicago "completist" or if you like big band done with a different twist. Some of the versions of these well known songs are better than others- "In the Mood", some are OK- "Take the A-Train". If you can get it cheap, it's well worth the time and money. Also, a good introduction to big band classics for those not familiar with that era.Read full review...

Ausgesprochen erstklassige Arrangements , wie eigentlich immer ,

die Superformation , die einmal mehr zeigt , wie immer wieder gut auch die

Standards sind .

Leider wird hier zu Lande ( Germany ) diese Art Musik so gut wie garnicht in
