Great for wet conditions, but only a 7/10 for picture quality

A very good camera when you need a waterproof camera. Very reasonably priced and serves a valuable purpose. I use it while kayaking, snorkeling, snow skiing, water skiing, and surfing. However, the photo qualities are only a 7/10. You can manipulate the photographs with photoshop, but the images still are not as good as many of the better quality point and shoot digital cameras (Canon G12).Read full review...

A good rugged camera for the money.

This is a good camera for the money.
It takes excellent outdoor and nature shots. The camera still works at 106 degrees, it hasn't been below 30 degrees since it was purchased so we'll see how it handles the cold next winter.
The videos I've taken at concerts are very good, even the sound is good considering this is a pocket camera.
The biggest reason for buying this camera is the rugged features, water, shock, and dust resistant. This is important since the camera goes motorcycling, camping, and kayaking. The weather isn't always ideal.
It doesn't do as well indoors in low light which is why I didn't give it all 5's.Read full review...

Good camera for worry free quick outing.

Very good little camera. I love its size. It replaces my Canon D10 which had an awkward shape and felt a little slippery.

I bought this because it was rugged and waterproof. I love its door design. You cannot just accidentally open it underwater. You have to push a button and then twist to open - good thinking.

As far as picture quality, it is not that great. It is average at best. I think I might be generous with that statement. But this is why I have DSLRs.

Bring this camera if you are going canooing, kayaking, or something involving water. There are other small cameras out there that take better pictures. I like to post process so the output is fine for me.Read full review...

Nice Camera- A Few Flaws

The reason I bought this camera was because it looked like a normal camera, but was still an underwater camera. (Let's admit it, all of the other underwater cameras on the market look like a 5 year-old toy.) It stayed true to that- its very stylish and nice-looking. The picture quality, however, I was a bit disappointed with. The shutter speed is pretty slow, so therefore you have to try to be very still while taking the picture. If you stay still while taking the picture, then the picture turns out great! Another flaw with the camera is that when you look at pictures and angle your camera to one side, the picture may switch to the next picture. Otherwise, the camera is great and I'm happy with it. Take the camera down a waterslide.

I bought this camera to give me more options when taking pictures and filming outdoors because of the waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof features. It has surpassed my expectations to say the least, but I am an amateur photographer and don't own any high end cameras so my knowledge is limited. I have gotten excellent underwater video when trout fishing in 10 degree weather in northern Iowa, and put this camera down the ice fishing hole and the camera has been a champ, it never froze. The only thing slightly inconvenient about the camera is when viewing pictures the camera will scroll between pictures unintentionally if you shake the camera. Taking HD video underwater is seriously cool, even in a fish tank. There are also multiple scene features including; easy panorama which takes great panoramas and is very easy to operate, also beach, snow, food, party, sunset....etc. I highly recommend this camera for the avid outdoorsman.Read full review...

I would not change this camera at all and will tell all my friends about it

I love this camera and so do all my friends. A lot of reviews say it is not good for action sports but I go to horse barrel races and the pictures I get with this camera are better then the pictures the professionals get with their "high dollar" cameras. Living on a farm, training dogs and riding horses I can destroy electronic devices easily but this camera is tough! Great camera, does everything it's intended to and more.

It's a pocket sized camera and takes good pictures while on the go. Great for any adventure or lounging in the pool. It has a little difficulty adjusting to low lighting, but generally I'm happy with the product, as we used it mostly for zip lining, pool fun, and jet skiing. Nice camera. Should last. Good buy.

After just one trip to Cambodia,Vietnam, and Thailand for a month I found out the batteries are short lived. I bought two extras and that fixed the problem. The charger was the old fashioned type with a cord and no car charger. I had to buy a new one as soon as I got home. The users manual is on disk only from this vendor which was a problem on the trip. Fortunately a girl on the trip bought the same mod. and gave the manual to me. BUY A FLOATING STRAP JUST IN CASE! The viewfinder became scratched badly and I have contacted the vendor today to see if they care and will help or not. The camera has nice features. The gps does not work for locating and only prints from a computer. Don't expect it in the viewfinder. It should be but it isn't. If they fix the scratches it was a good deal. On my trip to Israel I saw a guy loose all his shots from a two week trip and have to replace the camera because of a common type less than one meter fall and drop into shallow water. One of my best buys

I bought this camera for my daughter-in-law and we all love it! The pictures are great and the features are amazing--especially the sport mode. She takes pictures of my granddaughter running & playing and there is no pause so it shows her in action and you don't end up missing her in the frame.
