Excellent little point and shoot with GPS

But for the lack of a viewfinder (because seeing the rear screen in sunlight is problematic) I would have rated it 5 stars.
Lots of features, excellent focus. Long Li-Ion battery life. No complaints. Highly recommend Read full review...

Buy Only if you don't need GPS or outdoor photography

GPS takes 5 minutes to lock on and then starts the process from the begining every time you turn the phone on and off. So if you want to pull the camers out, take a photo and put it away this camera is useless.
Another problem is tjat the camera doesn't handle white bright patches well. Whenever you take a picture of something with a cloud it displays the cloud as a grey clump with horizontal stripes in it. So the camera is useless outdoors. So basically it has a faulty compression algorythem.
Unless my camera a is lemon I wouldn't recommend anyone wast money on it.

Awesome little camera.

Wow what a wonderful camera. This camera replaced a Nikon COOLPIX 7900. I am so pleased with it. The first time I used it I took it out whale watching off the Santa Barbara coast. What I liked most aside from the awesome quality of the pictures was the image stabilization feature. Even though the boat was rocking a lot the pictures all came out so clear. The 1080P videos was nothing short of awesome. The 18X zoom allowed me to zoom right into the face of a blue whale and several humpback whales. I am very pleased with this camera and would recommend it to anyone who wants a small pocket sized camera that takes great pictures.Read full review...

Good camera

Takes very good pictures. Nice 18x zoom. Mostly easy to use, but don't like some parts of the settings menu. Setting the date is difficult for some members of my family, so I have to do this for them (they can do this on their other cameras). Also I don't like the scrolling ring... cursor jumps around too much when using it or when not intending to use it.Read full review...

Great camera. SLR features in a point-and-shoot.

I bought this for a vacation to Sedona, AZ to get great photos of the amazing vistas there and nearby Grand Canyon. As a semi-casual photographer, this has tons of settings and features that I may never use but the features I wanted, good zoom, 16MP, and Nikon name sold me on it. The settings dial is a bit too easy to accidently turn and changing settings can be a bit tedious as there are so many choices but overall I love this thing! The pictures are the best I've ever taken and I'm sure that as I get handier with more of its settings, my photos will get even better. And I love to be able to tell people exactly where the picture was taken and even what direction I was facing. (GPS feature)Read full review...

great value for the money

Bought this camera since i lost my canon powershot sd900. I only buy canon products but since nikon has been advertising the heck out of their products i thought i give it a chance. Overall this camera takes awesome photos. The in camera features are great as well. My only problem is that in order to review your photos you have to turn on the camera you just can't press the review button. When you do take a photo it takes forever for the preview to disappear. You can either have it on or off. With canon it gave you the option of 1,2 or 3 second preview. The last thing is that the flash is in an awkward place but as i was looking at the canon website every company is going to that format. I would recommend this camera to someone though.Read full review...

It's what I needed

Bought because my "real" camera is too big to carry around the city. I had an old Coolpix that stopped working because I did something to it. This is almost the same, but a little slimmer because the battery doesn't need to be removed.

I I were not legally blind, I think it would be easy to use, though the on/off button is too small to access with a glove on my hand. All the menu items are too small for me to read, but they're probably OK for normal eyesight.

happy little pocket camera

This S9300 replaced an S7000 that I dropped and which stopped focusing. i hope it will be as good as the S7000 was. It will take a while to adjust to the added features

I Nice camera for Touring

The camera works well and was sent with good speed. A great camera that optimizes size and function. Easy to carry while touring the Roman Ruins.
