Nikon D5300

I already had a Nikon D5200 (a very nice camera) that I was using for photoshoots but found that it would be much easier if I had 2, each with different lenses so I bought the D5300. Though they are very similar (something I wanted), they do have some varying differences such as the built-in WIFI on the D5300. The body is metal and feels good in the hands and unlike the plastic bodies, it's weight is still light and feels more substantial than say a D3300 (like my Daughter's camera). Takes great pics in both Auto and Manual modes. Great buy with a low shutter count and a nearly flawless body I found that I saved BIG bucks when you compare prices of a new one. The seller is Great and delivers Exactly what he says he will along with speedy mailing and delivery. A+++Read full review...

good price, not great camera

some glitches stopped me from 5 stars
slow to focus.. I have a 3500 and 5600.. much better and quicker focus. I am a bird photographer, so in flight shots have been coming out blurry. worth the price but i am not depending on it for long day photo shoots .. the non nikon battery dies quickly. and there was no camera strap. that is a lot to leave out yes.. low shutter count was a plus

Arrived on time, nicely packaged, and very clean. Worked on the first try.

Camera looks like new. First day of use with a separately purchased 70-300mm lens produced great quality pictures. All of the features tried so far work as expected. Bought for Astrophotography and will update this review after some long exposure shots through my telescope.Read full review...

Great for beginners.

Good for beginners. Most beginners can't decide what to get since they don't know where to begin. This is it folks, Canon or Nikon debate can go on and on but if you are a casual user go Nikon and this model hits all the points. If you want to buys many lenses down the road, Canon is the brand. With this camera, you pictures will look good without trying too hard. All cameras today are good but are they easy for beginners? This is camera is super easy.Read full review...

Exceptional DX camera body. Perfect image quality, excellent value!

This camera renders exceptional large-format images and has tons of great features. I only wish that the Wi-Fi functionality would connect directly to a computer instead of just mobile devices. I bought this as a starter DSLR, and it works very well with Nikon full-frame lenses as well as DX-designated ones. I take a lot of wildlife and nature shots, as well as product photos for online selling. I find a crop sensor body like this one to be ideal for my current needs.Read full review...

Great DSLR Camera

Excellent digital SLR camera with 24mp. As a Nikon customer for years, I couldn’t be more pleased with its image quality. Plus the new flip screen and focus view points are a nice addition. Easy adjust for the novice in pre-set auto modes to the more experienced photographer in manual shooting modes. It is a very versatile camera.Read full review...

Such A Great Value - I Now Own Two

This is such a great value for the money I bought two. The best feature for me is the swivel LCD screen which allows you to take Live View images (using the LCD instead of the viewfinder) to grab those over the crowd images or tough to look through the viewfinder angles. The other feature I really like besides the 24-megapixel resolution is the built-in GPS data capture (if enabled). Fabulous for use on geo-location sites. Also you can wirelessly transfer images to your Smartphone, but you will need the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter and you can only shoot JPEGs not RAW images for transfer to your Smartphone. Buy yourself an 18-200 or 18-300 DX lens with Vibration Reduction (VR) or consider an ultra-wide 12- 24mm lens or 10-24mm lens. Overall this is a great value for the dollar. Hard to go wrong here. This body is a great value and bought the 2nd subsequently as a result. All photos shown were captured with the D5300.Read full review...

Awesome camera

Purchased for my wife since we tend to take a lot of family pictures and was just fed up with having to pay $100+ for photo sessions. This camera and its accessories get you right on track to taking excellent quality pictures that will last a long time. Not bad for a new photographer to use. Ready to useRead full review...
