Excellent retro gaming console, with good portability and AA batteries.

Excellent handheld gaming option, a market leader in its day.
This is my handheld retro gaming console of choice. Why? Because as well as some very good games and a screen not far behind a DS this model runs on AA batteries meaning no battery to fail or charging required on travels.
The only downside is the unlit screen, making batteries last longer but requiring ambient light to see.
This can be rectified as if you look around you can find front lit screen modifications.
Namely AGS101 and others. Where the screen it lit so can be played in the dark (for a price).

Don't forget this will also play original gameboy and gameboy color cartridges.
Perfect for the early pokemons or Marion's entire early collection.Read full review...

Game Boy Advance. What a delight and what a price

Having never had the Game Boy Advance as a kid (Sob Sob) it was a real kick to be now using one as a 19 year old and some.It was cool to be playing some classic old school titles that were not compatible with the DS. My Dad is loving faffing around with a Speccy he so much loved to hate as a teen (bought off Ebay of Course),so why not me with this great little gamer. Great price and brilliant quality. It's a Nintendo!

I have a 3DS but I like to play classic games in this console. It worths each cent! The only problem is the non-lighted screen, but despite this I guess it's a better option compared to the Advance SP.Read full review...

Excellent

This is an xmas present for my son as a trial as he wants a handheld and before i pay for a DS i will see the use this gets first. Game variety is excellent. Gameboy as good as new.

I like more Advance SP. This item works on batteries. So the game time no long. It is need to use additional accesorries -magnifier with light. No so convinient.
