Great handheld device

Great fun handheld device. It's hard to see at night or in the dark as it has no backlight. And it runs on batteries which can die quickly. But the graphics and portability is a nice aspect

good system but could be better

Its a very good system however thares a issue to game loading you might have to blow into the system and game and or pres down a litte hard but other than that it still works good after all these years thares no backlit screen and it takes two double a batteres but if you want to play in the dark buy a light acesseroy and it will let you play in dark areas althoe I bought this thing for $31 its more worth $5 but its still a good system but if you want a backlet screen get a gba sp if you want something that's the samething but don't want to blow or prese down the cart into the system or if you want a blacklet screen but less featuers go for a gbm what I mean by features is that its backwords compatable with gb,and gbc games overall good system if you like old school games and that's the reveiwRead full review...

Seems to work perfectly

Played a little bit of the game to test it out it seems to work completely fine with no glitches and reads the cartridge fine too. Would definitely recommend especially for the value as well. The only thing I could say is there was some battery acid inside the battery compartment but that's easily cleanable.if the game doesn't read just make sure to reinsert and push it in all the way.Read full review...

it's a gameboy advance, it's a blast

if you've never played a gameboy advance, go get some classics like megaman battle network, megaman zero and Kirby and the magic mirror, you'll love it. get some Duracell Quantums, or order a rechargeable battery pack mod from retromodding and you'll have really long battery life. cheap AAs burn out fast, and you might get annoyed if you've never had to deal with batteries lolRead full review...

Good ol' times.

Oh, my stars and garters! Let me tell you about this dandy contraption called the GameBoy Advance. It's a real hoot and a holler! I reckon it's got more fun packed into it than a barn dance on a Saturday night.

First off, it's so light and portable, just like those days when we'd skip rope in the yard. Fits right in my purse, dearie! And the buttons, bless my soul, they're easy on these old arthritic fingers. No fuss or muss, just good old-fashioned gaming.

The screen, oh my stars, it's clear as a country creek on a summer day. The games look sharper than grandma's favorite knitting needles. I've been playing that Pokémon game, and I feel like a young 'un again, setting off on an adventure.

And the battery life! I can play for hours without worrying about running out of steam. Just like the Energizer bunny, this GameBoy keeps going and going.

All in all, this GameBoy Advance is a peach of a gaming device. It brings back memories of the good ol' days and keeps me entertained like a lively square dance. Five stars, no doubt about it, honey!

A classic!

I remember having one of these when I was younger. I would spend hours on this thing. Game boy was exactly as pictured. Sharpie on the housing, which was fine, as I planned on replacing it after installing a backlit screen anyways. But most importantly, it works! After popping some good ol AA batteries in it, it turned right on, bringing back all the nostalgia with it.Read full review...

Good buy

Packed very well, love the additional Business Card. At first I got scared when I put a gba and a gbc game in and it just had the “Gameboy” screen with a very pixilated Nintendo logo but then I realized that the batteries were low and now it works just like how it does on my gba (the one with the toys r us logo). There are a lot of little dings on the screen but it could be fixed. Great purchase. My little brother is going to be very pleased!

Good unit

It works good. The only issue I had was the shoulder buttons stuck in the down position. I think it had a new shell which is notorious for that problem. I had to take it apart and trim the plastic on the buttons for it to work correctlyRead full review...
