Just how I wanted it.
Very happy with the product. It is not in perfect condition but has just the right wear and year someone who toke care of their Game Boy growing up would have. Very happy with the nostelgia trip.

Game Boy Color
A great portable gaming system for its time. With hunderds of games to choose from, how can you go wrong? It takes two AA batteries (unlike most other portable gaming systems, which take those awful rechargeable batteries) or if you choose not to use AA batteries, you can plug it into a wall socket (with the correct plug). It is a great system with great potential, but, like most handhelds, the game selection isn't that great. There are maybe 20 amazingly great games, but there's a ton of garbage. The box is not in perfect condition, but that is expected from a used system. The Gameboy itself is clean though (almost as if never played).
Gameboy Color
It may be "old school", but this hand-held game system plays like a champ. With hundreds of them up for auction, how do you choose which one to buy? I'm sure each person has certain things they are looking for when trying to decide which one to buy. For me, I wanted one in pristine condition at a good price. The thing I like about the Gameboy Color is that there are many colrs to choose from. There are endless games for it as well, and they are pretty easy to come by and inexpensive. Even a an adapter only runs about $10.00. My choice in the end was a dandelion yellow. It came with a box and instuctions and a game. There are a few things to look for when purchasing one. The condition of the system, in most cases, reflects in the price given. For example, there might be a red gameboy for $5.00, but the screen is scratched and it's missing the battery cover. Very important, always ask questions if you are not sure what the system has on it. Always ask the condition of the screen, the sound, and if the battery cover is intact if it isn't mentioned in the description. I know I could go out and get the latest DS Lite, but the system and games are expensive. This is the perfect system for someone with limited funds. You can get accessories for it at a great price. You could get a case, games, an adapter, a light, a camera or even a printer for this system. All in all, if you can find one that meets your criteria, then by all means, get a Gameboy Color. Game boy color is still great
The Game Boy Color is my favorite of the handhelds. Feels great to hold and the games still look decent after 20 plus years. Also one of the better consoles to mod, put backlit screen and rechargeable battery mods in a GBC and it feels and looks so much nicer. Can't go wrong with the classics.
Portable and easy even for casual gamers, the Gameboy Color is a great item. I purchased one to play some older games that I never got a chance to play because I never owned a GBC. The GBC is smaller than the orginal GB, without sacrificing screen size. It can also play any existing GB title. The one drawback is the color screen isn't backlit, so the system can be hard to play in low light conditions. Overall, much better than the original Gameboy, not as good as a DS.Read full review...
Staying classy
Ever see the one Gameboy Color commercial way back in the day, where those punk kids in the mall were all sporting their own colored Gameboy Color, and then they run into an old lady and she pulls out hers? If not, it doesn't really matter, all I wanted to say is that I'm proud to feel like one of those kids in the commercial lol. This was such a great buy. The memories it brings back are awesome. The days when I used to have to watch the dimness of the red light to see how much juice was left in it, when I had to sit next to a light but avoid glare to be able to see the screen. Game Boy Color
I recently purchased a Nintendo Game Boy Color System on Ebay; I absolutely love the product. I purchased the old Dr. Mario game that I played several years ago. It is as much fun today as it was in the 80's! The system came with many extras: DC adapter, chargable battery pack, light & magnifier, link cords, etc. I have used all the extras and love them all.
