Decent phone for the money

The phone is a basic phone for the money u pay. It does the job. This is a good second phone. Its pretty rugged, and has a flashlight. If u r cash strapped, and need a good fone to start with, this is the way to go. The User Interface is not very good, and the only reason I bought this phone is my good ol' Nokia 6230 fell on the road, and broke into 2 pieces. So I wanted to buy some cheap but sturdy, and reliable Nokia that does the job of making and receiving fone calls, and at the same time, I can shop around for a more advanced, and an expensive Nokia quadband /w WIFI. good luck.Read full review...

Nokia 1208

This is a cheap replacement phone for a cheap phone.
As a communications device, it actually has more useful phone features than the Nokia 2610 it replaced. Sure the screen is low resolution, but the numbers are easier to see, it has a louder speaker, and its easy to use. The reason for a "4" was the short battery life. I need a phone, not a phone-camera-PDA-music player. I have an iPod Touch for the PDA, music player, and portable internet. My carrier is TMobile in NW PA.Read full review...

Not great.

I bought this phone as an interim phone until I was eligible for an upgrade. I wanted to love it. It's sturdy, simple, and very cute. What drove me crazy is that it would randomly drop calls and give me an "Insert SIM" message. In mid sentence, I would hear that annoying tone you hear when you dial a number that has been disconnected. That would happen repeatedly. It also turned itself off and on at random times. I would have it on my desk and suddenly hear it turning back on. Maybe I just got a lemon. Without these glitches, it would be a good phone. Caution: I think this is an old model, so you can't download games or ringtones and it doesn't go online or anything. Very basic, so consider your needs.Read full review...

Nokia 1208

This phone is your standard minimal feature phone. It calls, it texts, you can play a few games and store all your numbers. No frills, but I'm not into frills. The style of it is very slick. It is a small phone, and fairly light. My only complaint is the screen is a tad small for what I'm used to. Otherwise, great little phone if you only want the standard features.Read full review...

great little phone!!!!!!!!

This is by far one of the better phones I've had, sure its cheap, sure it should only be used for a replacement, and maybe the pad sometimes comes out on a drop on the floor but anyone can put it right back in! This phone is truly outstanding for the money, I have drop it in water, still works, I use the light it has more than I have ever used a camera, alot more many times, I have thrown it against the wall very hard while upset with my wife in hopes that the damn thing would break, broke apart into five pieces, put it back together and the shit still works!!, AMAZING!!!!, I can't believe it, this is the honest truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!Read full review...

Nokia 1208 a small and reliable combat phone

It's a very good and reliable little phone and a Nokia, so it's built to last, it will withstand falls and even getting wet, it is truly a combat phone. so if all you need is a small, durable phone that has great signal and call quality and fits in a small pocket this is the best you can get, specially since the price tag is way below any other phone.Read full review...

great phone bright flash light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great phone for the money. The phone has games, txt, caller I.D., bright L.E.D. flash light, and alot more. It is very small and hold a charge forever even when i use it alot. The only thing I don't like is that it does not support real music ring tones. Be that is my take on it. for the money I don't think you will find a better deal.

P.S.
I bought it as a NIB prepaid phone then just put my sim card in that i have a monthly service on and it worked perfect.

No Picture Video Messaging

I expected a simple cheap phone, BUT this one does not even have the ability to receive pictures, video messaging (MMS). I think your best bet is going to be a pay as you go phone and just pop your sim card in there. It will work and not require a new contract or will not require you to purchase new minutes like a pay as you go phone. Dont get me wrong, the phone works, it is just seriously lacking with today's MMS features.Read full review...

Good for the Price

I bought this phone to replace my broken phone. The phone is has remarkable features for the price. Paid 20.00 at wal-mart. The built in flashlight is a big plus. the downside is 1 the phone is not very durable, I dropped it once and had to put the keypad back in. Batter cover back on. The only other downside is that it has no web browser. I believe this is because it is a pre-paid phone. All though I put my sim card in and it works fine on my regular T-Mobile account.Read full review...

super great deal

This phone was a super great deal. I bought it as a replacement phone for my 17 y/o son who had 2 phones stolen at school that equaled a total of $1100.00 HELLO I was'nt doing that again. This phone is small enough that he can keep it on him at all times and even if he dosent no one is interested in stealing because the resale is so low. I love this phone. Hey its a plus that he says he likes the phone it works great with clear sound the only thing he would change if he could is he would add a camera. but is a school phone for emergencies. SO its a great idea for a school phone or even for a starter phone for kids that you want to get ready for the responsibility of a more expensive phone. HEY my sons new I phone isnt going any where near that school.Read full review...
