Nokia 5800 is a great phone with many features
My girlfriend bought this phone because she had used my Nokia 5800 and really liked it. She is not a very technical person so her loving it is good indication of the user friendly Nokia interface. There are many smart phones in the market today. I have tried many and I have found that despite being fairly old in a quickly changing market the Nokia 5800 has maintained a very strong position.
When you first get this phone it is already pretty cool with the onboard features. However, with the right downloaded application it can become a truely awesome device that can satisfy any of your needs in the modern day. I can go and on about its GPS, music, WIFI and all the great features. But I'll say the only weakness I seen in this phone is its camera. Its very average and would give you a decent picture during the day. But at night its far from impressive. So I wouldn't recommend it if you want a good camera. But other than that it is much cheaper and better than the iphone for its many features that constantly keep getting better with the updates.Read full review...

Specific use phone
I'm overseas where you can't simply have a smartphone do phone and internet so the alternative is to buy this phone (or one like it) and put a mobile internet card in it. Then get joiku hotspot and make it into a wireless hotspot, then connect all mobile devices to your own portable network. It is great for this. Otherwise, if you live in a civilized country get a mytouch or Iphone as they are more user friendly.Read full review...
I like it!
The phone is easy to interact with and has many options of configuration, you can find one that goes with you, the music player is cool, the video player has a very good resolution, but the camera could be better, the design is good and good looking, the calls are clear, but sometimes it disconnect, not sure if it's the phone or a problem with the phone company. many apps, easy to find and install, also the phone is hackable for installing unsigned apps which I don't recommend cause this voids the warranty, Overall is a very good phone, good WiFi and GPS receiver.Read full review...
Nokia 5800
I actually bought two of them for my daughters. They wanted the Iphone, but that is a lot of money, plus I wanted a flash on the camera. The Wifi works great, small screen, but they use it and like it. The Music part is awesome. I bouth some 16GB Micro SD and filled it them up with music so my kids thought that was cool when they turned them on Christmas day. The photo quality does not look very good. I have not transferred any photos to a computer so I am not sure if it is just the phone's view of how they really look.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic US Version
I was impressed with the size and the build quality of the phone. I also thought I wouldn't like the interface since I've seen the Iphone interface and considers it the best. But when I started using the 5800, I got comfortable with the user interface easily. Everything works as it should. The music player and the external speaker quality is incredible. It is loud and clear. My daughter thought I had a desktop speaker connected to my music player. She realized it was just the phone speakers afterwards and she was also impressed as well. Overall, I think this is a good alternative to the Iphone because of the cheaper price and tons of functionality. I highly recommend it!!!Read full review...
Nokia 5800
I brought the Nokia 5800 phone about 3 weeks ago and am 100% satisfied. Would higly recommend this phone to others.
Pros: Overall excellent phone, fast and free internet search via wi-fi, good call quality, nice touch screen, good battery life, good photos, good sound quality, light weight, and convenient stylus included with the phone. One of the best phones for the price.
Cons: User interface - takes a little time to get familiar with the menus and sub-menus (needed to refer to the manual for some of the phone setttings), and phone width dimension is slightly narrower than other smart phones from Samsung, HTC, Apple, etc. (slightly smaller screen).

This phone is fantastic (NOKIA 5800)
Good features (gps, wi-fi,camera, mp3 and video player), very good memory (8gb) good operating system, price is good,phone size is nice, nice screen size.user friendly interface, nice touch screen, Camera is good but can be better, it is only 3.2 but it should be at least 5.0 megapixels to be excellent, also a real xenon flash will help to make this phone something outstanding. Great phone PDA for bussiness and multimedia
Each smartphone has its own public. I think this one is very appropriate for those who likes to use the stylus for handwriting (the best handwriting input I´ve seen til now). But you will need the stylus only when you want to handwrite. All the functions and menus of the phone can be easily accessed using your finger. The cell OS (Symbian S60 5th edition) is very stable and there´s a lot of third-party apps for everyday use. It has also great multimedia capabilities and fits very well in hand.
