No mounting bracket

I guess the tag fooled me and I assumed it was or looked like a bracket for holding it to the engine. All it is is a piece of tubing. I’m sure it would work but if you’re on the road and it comes out who wants to screw with that!! I’ll tack a tab on it. Would it have killed the manufacturer to have done it right?
