No Foolin, Please
I think Laura Love is full of dynamic force and originality. I got interested in her when I saw her and the supporting band. They are great live players. Unfortunately this CD seems hollow and emotionless which pains me to say as I really want Ms. Love to succeed. On this CD her material is engaging and witty, but the playing is mechanical. I wish the lyrics were a little less patronizing to listeners, as she needs to take them to the realm of her direct and honest revelations.Read full review...
