My favorite album of this decade

I bought this after my son let me listen to his copy. I did something I hadn't done in many years-- just sat and listened through the entire album, not doing anything else. The depth of the lyrics and musicianship are phenomenal. While the style and message are aimed at a younger demographic than myself, I appreciated the storytelling and the varied texture of the songs. Nothing facile or cliche here, no tossed-off sounding tracks (unless you count the acoustic demo-sounding track of "My American Dream", which is still a purposeful restatement of the albums theme-- that there is more to life, and the soul looks for something only Jesus can give).Read full review...

Great Switchfoot tracks

The reason why I liked the CD is because the music was a little fast, but definately fast enough to fit my taste. Actually I didn't buy the CD, my dad bought it for me. He just did it because I liked the other Switchfoot CD "The Beautiful Letdown". In my opinion the tracks were great.
