An oldie but goodie, this camera takes incredible photos.

When it came out in 2003 I paid big bucks for one and wondered it it would be worth it. Since then I've bought three more via internet and keep one with me all the time. The 4mp rating means little. I've made great enlargements of beautiful subjects with no problems. The lens surpasses the one on my highly rated SLR, which I never use anymore since the Olympus is so much easier to carry. Try to find another compact camera with a metal body and a viewfinder (with adjustable optic, no less). A good, solid, quality digital camera.

I bought this camera new on eBay, many years ago and it remains a real trooper to this day. I researched a LOT of cameras (literally for weeks), before landing on this unit. The decision has NOT disappointed me at all. 4MP is low by today's standards but the picture quality and resolution at 4MP is quite sufficient for the needs of the average photographer. I specifically like the "thru the lens" focus feature, the dual optical AND digital zoom capability, and the ability to program and store your own camera settings for your most frequently used shooting environments. The camera's "beefy" metal frame puts all the various camera controls at your fingertips and the 4-AA batteries last a LONG time, even when shooting videos. This thing has more bells and whistles than I can possibly describe here; I feel certain the specs are available online. The downsides for me is the low storage capacity of 512MB per xD card, the sometimes slow shutter response when in 'auto' mode in low light, and the small screen on the back side. The memory issue is easily solved by buying more xD cards, which are relatively cheap today. Overall, this camera has proved to be one of my better choices over the years.Read full review...

Amazing Deal on a great little camera!

I bought a C-740 new in 2004 for $300 and was quite happy with it...until a recent liquid spill disabled it. I bought this C-750 to replace it. This model is almost identical with slightly better features. I have to say that this was probably the best deal I've ever gotten on anything! I was skeptical about the as-is disclaimer and lack of close-up photos, but it turned out to be in near perfect condition and included all accessories, documentation, a very nice case and even a very solid quality tripod. Compact, Versatile, Sharp

Easy to hold, easy to use. Sharp optics, versatile zoom, nice controls and function buttons. A solid performer; much more than a point-and-shoot camera. Has same manual control features as much later cameras. At current 'used' prices, this is an outrageous bargain! Love it!Read full review...

Got it in great shape and works great

This is a good little camera and I bought it because I have an underwater housing that fits this camera. My previous one was no longer working and I wanted to replace it for taking photos while diving. It is a great land camera also and I know there are alot higher megapixel cameras out there but unless you are enlarging to poster size this one is fine.Read full review...

Professional Camera Body Products Vs. Buying Or Repairing Your Broken One

I have a digital camera. The battery lock had broken, and I had to tape it shut to continue using it. This was extremely frustrating & time consuming. I had already invested in several quality lenses to capture pictures that only fit this exact camera.
Buying just the body of the camera saved me hundreds of dollars. All the parts and accessories worked perfectly with my "new" used digital camera. The digital camera came with a card & was ready to go.
The transition went perfectly and I already had perfected the use of this camera. I am very happy that I found a resolution to my camera problem, and I did not have to spend any amount to repair the camera, I just replaced it.

Nice point and shoot camera from Olympus

I found the quality of the images to be very good and consistent for different environments and lighting. The flash is great if you're close to the subject but loses quality if you're more than 4 or 5 feet away. I was not able to charge my batteries on the camera as the power cord didn't come with my used camera. Overall I am pleased with it and it's easy to operate so I recommend it.Read full review...

OLympus C 750 ULTRA ZOOM

I had a C-730 ultra zoom for years I dropped and broke it factory said it was too old to repair if so would run at least $200, the c-75o ultra zoom looks identical operates the same way has the optical view finder which you can see when it focuses which the new cameras you do not see any more features like this had the same zoom sharp clear pics unbelievable 8X10 photos, best of all the price was only $86 ,camera looks like new ,just like the day when it was first made I also have a Olympus c-5060 5.1 meg I paid $700 for it a few years ago it does not have a optical view that you can see focus when you depress button, sorry to say I like the c-730 better I like to see my shots focus,optical viewfinder that focuses is the main reason plus the 10 optical zoom plus the reasonable price for a nice digital camera that is very dependableRead full review...

I decided to buy it because I had one similar to it, and it finally died on me, It ttook great pictures, and the memory card makes it even better for taking more picture, it also came with a video cable, download cable, batterys, and a charger.
