Great full-sized DSLR for American sized photographers.

This Olympus DSLR is a “full size” camera body, large enough to place all those picture quality controls is logical, meaningful places around the camera body; controls large enough to be manipulated by normal American sized hands. The trade-off for a Full-Sized DSLR is of course weight. It does weight more than it’s new “mirrorless” brothers. But this lends substance to your digital photography experience; there is just enough “heft” to this unit to provide quality. The last full-sized DSLR that Olympus manufactured is the E5, a “step up” from this model, E-620. But all of the so-called improvements were for the motion capture folks, not the still photographer. It has the same CCD 12.3MP sensor and all the same features for still photography, but it considerably less expensive on todays market. Then, of course, there’s the real reason you are looking for a solid DSLR, The Glass. You know that it’s the GLASS of the lens available to this Olympus system camera that is the real bargain.Read full review...
