Excellent small camera (but included battery is dead)

This E-P5 camera has excellent build quality including a screen with a sturdy up-and-down tilt mechanism. It's smaller than other Olympus cameras I've used, so it's easy to carry around even though it doesn't fit in a pocket. The compact size means small controls, so large hands would find it fiddly. Overall the camera feels more up to date than you'd expect from a 2013 model. Image quality is very good from the 16MP sensor. The black styling for the body is very attractive. I did have a couple of problems with the unit I received. One was that the sensor had some dead pixels, something I had never encountered in a camera. But the Pixel Mapping function took care of that. The other problem was that the included battery could not be charged — it was completely dead. A new OEM battery costs $55.
