This Olympus Stylus 740 was an exact copy/replacement for one I have had for several years. I finally managed to break this tough little camera after years of use. (it had been dropped many times and kept coming back for more) I think that well over 10000 photos were taken both on the job and in family life with it. The photo quality is excellent, I wanted a replacement that I was familiar with. This camera is compact and has a 5 times zoom. Zoom in on the zoom and you get a 20 times zoom total. Although I'm not even close to being tech savvy, the camera is fairly simple to use. Battery life is respectable (it has its own style battery that can be found on the eBay site)(I've watched my friends grumble about the short battery life on their cameras which makes me chuckle) Is easy to download to the computer, Comes with a built in flash and sound. Is capable of long length camcorder films. The camera is waterproof (resistant at least) I've used it in the rain and humid conditions and never experienced problems because of moisture. The model has had many upgrades since I bought the first one back in'04, but for what I needed, it's the perfect compact camera. Comes with a CD to program and use to download the XD style card to your computer. The cards are low cost and are sized from 500k to 2G. It has an easy to use menu. The original cost of the first one I owned was over 375.00. But,I purchased mine for 250 on sale, and I got the replacement for around 100.00 here on eBay. I felt like I was stealing the thing for that price. It was true value and feel the seller was very honest and could be counted on if there was a problem. good for price easy to use pictures are clear

this camera is very easy to use,has many features of more exspensive units. pictures are clear, zoom is good. batteries and card are low priced.

Very nice camera

I purchased this as a gift. It's easy and intuitive to use, takes nice pictures, offers weather resistance, and is pretty easy on the battery to boot. It's a very nice camera to carry outside while walking in the woods according to my fiance.Read full review...
