Comparable to $150 new camera

I purchased this Olympus VR-340 to replace one I have had for 8 years that was recently damaged. Super macro, 10x optical zoom and 16 megapixel features will compete with most any new pocket camera available. In fact I recently purchased a new $160 Canon ELPH 190 and it is no better than the VR-340. The ELPH is smaller, however I find my thumb hitting the function button when taking pictures. The VR-340 is sturdier. For example, it has a spring loaded latched battery door the 340 doesn't have. I should have just bought the 340. The 340 has a larger LCD display than the smaller cameras.Read full review...

It is a middle size camera that fill my expectations .

this camera as any other Olympus has it's unique design , that's what I like about this brand ; from the old point and shoot models with the sliding doors and hidden screws (which I love it ), to the new ones, are all challenging for me as a technician . Fun little camera

Fun little camera! It has a good retro film-like aesthetic to it and it's super easy to use. The only downside is the one I have is a little malfunctioning however it's not a giant deal it still takes photos well and it's 11 years old, so some issues is usual.Read full review...

Excellent camera!

Excellent camera with great image quality and the colors are very real. Take clear photos, even though you're on the move. Have several very simple scene mode, which helps a beginner to take photos like a pro. The battery lasts a long time and is rechargeable.

It's an okay camera and gets the job done.

For the price, it is a good camera.
However, it could be better. It's going to be ideal for the everyday person, who will just throw it in their bag and go but not for much else.
The beauty mode is good, as long as you aren't wearing glasses.
The scene modes are great as well. The magic filters are okay. The panorama mode is a dud, unless you can decipher how to actually use and it make good photos.

It can shoot great quality photos in the right lighting and with the right settings. You might have to play with it to get to those perfect settings, however.Read full review...

great camera have not used all the features yet I like to take pictures of wildlife so the 10X zoom is nice I like it the best of all my cameras
