The Kinks are great

I had this on cassette tape when I was a teenager and wore it out listening to it. When you read that it is a mix of live and studio it may not sound appealing but it really is great listening and the mixture doesn't assault you audibly. As a lot of the cassette that I loved to listen to in my teens are no longer playable, when I find a replacement on CD I buy it. For the Kinks even on the classic rocks stations you just don't get enough of them.Read full review...

Kinks CD One for the Road

It's a great CD, enjoyed every song. It's a classic album. All the great KINKS songs in one package. The bonus CD is excellent.

Disappointing HDCD Recording

I like the Kinks and bought this recording because HDCD recordings are, to my ears, generally superior to most CD recordings (if you haven't heard the Best of Dire Straits on HDCD, you'll be amazed).
