Takes clear sharp and colorful photos. Is a bit heavy but not too heavy. A lens of this quality is going to have some weight. Now if the SDM motor on the autofocus does not fail I'm good to go. Great lens cheap

I bought this lens "as is for parts". Took a chance on being able to repair it. Was able to get a couple for parts Pentax F lens. Removed the contacts and springs from them and the mount from one. Put the DA* 60-250 back together using these parts and it worked like a champ! I then Removed the SDM contacts and bypassed the dead SDM motor and the screw drive started working in Live view mode. A DA* 60-250 for about $300.00 is hard to beat.Read full review...
