Pentax K-S1 - Nice camera
This is my first DSLR so I'm climbing a fresh learning curve. I don't know how it compares with other brands or other Pentax models but I'm happy with it. I chose Pentax because I loved my Pentax film cameras and have several K-mount lenses that I can use with the K-S1. Image quality is first rate and the fully automatic mode works well. I still have a lot to explore and I'm having fun with it. Being unfamiliar with much of the competition, I wouldn't presume to recommend it over any other camera. Entry level DSLR
I really want to give this camera a good review. But it seems the manufacturer omitted a common software feature. This camera has no interval shooting mode which makes it difficult for users to do time lapse photography. This is my first DSLR so it seems much nicer than a PAS camera or a cell phone camera, but I can't compare it to other dslr's.
Additionally its ability to accept old inexpensive pentax lenses is a huge plus.Read full review...
