Pac Man Vs. is an excellent party game, but needs GBA

I can't say much about Pac Man World 2 - I haven't played it, nor do I have much of an interest in doing so, regardless of whether it is good or not - The real reason to buy this game is for Pac Man Vs., some of the most fun you will ever have playing Pac Man (and this is coming from a long time Pac Man fan). Having a bunch of people sit around and play this at a party is great, everyone understands how to play right away...it's Pac Man, c'mon.

Three players share the TV screen playing as the ghosts using Gamecube controllers, while one player plays as Pac Man on a Game Boy Advance. Because the ghosts share the TV they only have a limited view of the board, while the person playing as Pac Man can see the entire map on his little GBA screen. It's this setup that makes the game so much fun to play for all players.

The real downside to this game is the fact that you NEED a Game Boy Advance and a connector cable to play the game, and you need a group of 3 or more people to get the most out of it. But if you do have everything needed, I cannot recommend a more worthwhile game.

Pac Man Vs is a must-have for Pac fans

Well, if you are even a little of a PacMan fan, you really need to play this game. You attach GameBoy (cable was $6; I think GBAdvance) to GameCube. One person gets the gameboy and is PacMan; he looks at the GameBoy when playing. The other players are the ghosts and play by looking at the TV. The TV screen is a split view, so you can see yourself, as well as other players. Once you play this game, you will see why sometimes the ghosts seem "stupid." You can only see a small amount in front of you, unless you eat a cherry, then you get whole-screen view. GB/Pacman player sees regular screen like in arcade. The winner of that round switches, gets the Gameboy and gets to be PacMan. You can set the level of points to determine winner, so you can play a quick game if you want or go to 15,000 points. Oh, and ghost players are colors, so one person is the blue, one pink and so on. All ages like this game; 10-year-old, 15, my husband. It is totally worth it. A lot of laughs, too.Read full review...

Interesting games, although Vs. requires 2 to 4 players

Two Pac-Man based games in one combo pack, each with their own unique features. Pac-Man Vs. allows for players to control either Pac-Man or three of the ghosts. One player plays Pac-Man on a connected Game boy; which must be connected at all times. The Ghosts can be played by 1-3 people on the GameCube, and the winner then becomes Pac-Man. Pac-Man World 2 is the sequel to Pac-Man World, with 6 worlds and 20 levels. This game shows similarities to Pac-Man and some old arcade classics can be played later on in the game after collecting many items.Read full review...

Truly a fun game, and I have high standards.

One of the most simple yet fun game that I have played in years. Definately worth it to buy. Pac man world two is a one player while the game that comes with it is only multiplayer with GBA consoles attached to the gamecube. You can play pac-man world two on a wii that is capable of playing gamecube games, but you'll need a gamecube memory card and a gamecube controller as well.Read full review...

An Amazingly Fun Deal!

This is a great deal! This case comes with two great games that are tons of fun. They're both great for any gamer. I'll tell you about the second game, Pac-Man Vs., at the end of talking about the first, Pac-Man World 2.

Pac-Man World 2 is a great game made by Namco that tons of people enjoy playing, even though it doesn't seem that way. This game has tons of levels for hours of fun, and believe me, those hours will go by quickly.

Now then, on to the story line. At the begining of the game you will see a show type thing that will explain the story line to you. The story line goes something like this: The ghosts are up to no good again as they roam around the Pac-Village. Although they do make enough noise to bring down the Sears Tower, no one notices them except the dog at some point. Anyway, the ghosts make their way over to the tree in the center of the Pac-Village and start taking the Golden Fruit from it. Suddenly, everything begins to shake and the tree begins to rise. (PLEASE PUT IN YOUR EVIL BAD GUY MUSIC NOW. THANK YOU AND REMEMBER THERE IS NO SMOKING WHILE READING THIS REVIEW. HAVE A NICE DAY!) And of coarse the bad guy shows up. He's this creepy black ghost type bad dude named Spooky who had came out from under the tree who was imprisoned there long ago by an ancient Pac Warrior. Now then, Spooky tells the collored ghosts to take the Golden Fruit which held him under the tree and hide them so that no one retrieves them. And so of coarse Pac-Man wakes up the next day to be told that he must save Pac-Land from Spooky and so on and so forth. Now pac-Man sets out to find Spooky and retrieve the Golden Fruit.

Now that you know how the game works I can give you some more highlights of the game. Pac-Man can pull off many moves, some not being in the original Pac-Man World. In Pac-Man World 2 our hero can butt-bounce, rev-roll, jump, jump kick, swim, and eat things with the help of the power pellet. Ahhhh, that sweet power pellet. There are many ghosts in the levels of the game who will not be destroyed unless you get a power pellet. Grab one to glow and eat! There's also another pellet you can get: a metal pellet, as I call it. With this special ball of steel, you can, for a limited time, not get hurt by gas, not get hurt by lava, walk under water, and be invincible to enemies. This special item can really come in handy during the game!

In this game there are also some great levels with amazing twists. In some levels you can roller skate, ice scate, swim with flippers, and drive a fully armed submarine! One last thing I'd like to point out about Pac-Man World 2 is the 3D Mazes. Yep, during the game you can find special galaxians that you can collect which will allow you to enter a 3D maze where you can get extra points. These mazes are just like the original Pac-Man games where you get chased by and eat ghosts. Once you've beaten a maze you can play it again in the arcade!

Now on to Pac-Man Vs. This game requires the Game Boy Advance with a Gamecube link cord (not the Game Boy Player!). In this game up to four people can play. One person uses the Game Boy to control Pac-Man and guide him around the maze to collect Pac-Dots and avoid ghosts. The other three players get to control the ghosts and get to try and eat Pac-Man. If they do, someone else gets to be Pac-Man. But if Pac-Man gets all of the dots first. He can still be Pac-Man. This is a great, fun game that is a nice bonus.

Have a good time chomping on ghosts like crazy!

Really fun worth the money.

Pac-Man Vs. / Pac-Man World 2 are great games.

Pac-Man Vs. is really fun, although you can only play if you have 2-4 people. You cannot play alone. Anyways, 1 person uses the GBA as a controller. If you have the GBA, you are Pac-Man and you are trying to eat all the Pac-Dots. Your friends are the ghosts trying to catch you. If they get you, it's their turn to be Pac-Man and so on.

Pac-Man World 2 is a great RPG game. It also has the original Pac-Man, Mrs Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack along with a Pac-Man maze. The ghosts have accidentally released an old enemy named Spooky and they all have stolen the golden fruits. Now Pac-Man has to save them. Overall, fun.

Pac-Man Bundle(Game Cube)

Pac-Man World 2 is an exciting adventure for kids as well as us grown-ups who remember playing the old Pac-Man video games. Choose your own paths to different levels and adventures with exciting graphics along the way. Pac-Man even knows how to swim under water! A nice bundle of fun and excitement, just be informed that the bundled Pac-Man VS. game DOES NOT WORK ALONE on your Game Cube, and that you need to plug in a Game Boy Advance to your Game Cube in order to play this game.Read full review...

This game is still a favorite and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

This game is still an all time classic. I especially like it for game cube. I attend to keep the game cube because the games are not expensive and most of the games can be enjoyed by the while family. I started palying Pac Man years ago and I still love it. I recommend this game for any child or adult.Read full review...
