The first Pampered Chef Micro Cooker

I used the Pampered Chef version 1 micro cooker for many years, used it all the time, and finally wore it out. I bought a new version 2 Pampered Chef cooker to replace it. I disliked it enough to search out an original style cooker on eBay.

The old version has spouts molded into it, so you can drain grease/water neatly into a container. The new one doesn't have spouts and dribbles the grease all over. The lid of the old does not lock on as tightly as the new one, you do need to hold it firmly. But the lip on the new one that holds the lid tighter also catches the grease when you drain and it runs down the sides of the pot when you set it back down, making more mess.

Overall I like the original version better. That's why I found one in good condition on Ebay to replace my new one.Read full review

Pampered Chef Pot is ideal for everyday use.

Pampered Chef original microwave 8 cup pot is in good condition but has a slightly warped lid. I am hoping the lid will reshape itself with use. This is my third 8-cup utensil because I use any and all three in the course of a day. I find them ideal for any steaming project. I also have a 4-cup pot and lid. Perfect Rice

This rice cooker is different than the older one I had. I like the way the older model's lid fit. This one says you can cook the rice on high for whole time. That is way my other one burned up! I will not cook the rice on high the whole time. I will do 5 on high & 15 on 50% power. The rice cooks very well in the cooker.Read full review
