It works great, it’s takes a little long to load Discs, and switching from VHS/ BD has a delay before it actually switches. But patience is a virtue, I’m overall satisfied with the product.

This is a excellent product. Works very well but sadly it is out of production and hard to find nowadays. It's the only VHS/DVD/Blu Ray combo released on the NA market. It's quite heavy but works well. The VHS 1080p upscale does make a different. Makes VHS easier to watch as it does upscale the video. It doesn't look 1080p but you can tell it looks higher quality than a standard VHS player. Well worth the purchase.Read full review...

A unicorn in the VHS world

The only vhs with a hdmi output ever made. Very good picture quality (for VHS) and includes a built in blu ray player. Rare but worth it.

Panasonic DMP-BD70VK review

I purchased it because my old DVD died and figured I would upgrade. Needed a VCR woth it because I do not have room for both under the TV. Everything is fine. The remote seems to be for DVD. I don't know if I got the correct one. The unit seems to look for a disk. Did get it to work once but haven't tried it again. The remote should have VCR/DVD. Unit gets confused. I thik it's suppose to be automatic. No problems. The outlet are limited so if older system make sure. My older unit had more types.Read full review...

Panasonic DMP BD70V Blu-Ray Player Review

Provides an outstanding picture using the Blu-Ray format. The picture from viewing regular DVDs is almost just as good. The player really cleaned up some of my old VHS format tapes so they were actually enjoyable to watch again. All the other accessory ports work too. Do miss my digital clock though. I got a good deal on this product. I was able to keep my first generation Samsung HD TV working for a while longer by investing in a high quality HDMI/DVI cable that this player gave me the capability of using. My regular TV ANT A/B tuner inputs were shot resulting in a "ghosted" DVD playback picture. It would probably have cost me a small fortune to repair this already obsolete HD TV. The very concept behind this product is astounding. It has so many great things to talk about. The picture is great, the sound is great, and so far the system works the way it should. Common sense with VHS compatability, the ultimate in recorded technology!!

Bought this unit in late 2014 as my VHS/DVD player crapped out. I shopped around for a replacement and found that this was the only unit that pays all three major media (VHS,DVD,and Blue Ray)as well as having a SD card and USB connectivity. Basically, its got it all and its a Panasonic. With all that being said I think that this unit is on its way out of its popularity. Nobody that I know buy VHS tapes just because of all the other higher quality media out there. This unit is geared to people who have alot of VHS tapes kicking around the house - thats me. Unless you get a good deal on this unit or you want to show that you've got more money than brains, do yourself a favor, buy something more suited to your lifestyle.Read full review...

Awesome Combo

I mean, come on, play anything from Blu Ray down to a VHS (and anything in between - including DivX), all with one (1) machine???? Awesome right.
So far I have not had any problems, playing, BDs DVDs and VHSs. The player is easy to use, not difficult to set up.
There is a lag, when you switch between formats, it takes a few seconds for the player to load, but ohterwise its smooth sailing.
