Review of 3D Version

Firstly, the MSRP of $49.99 is exorbitant and is precisely why I waited to purchase this title used.

This IS a suspenseful and sometimes scary horror film that keeps you engaged and did a nice job of expounding on the basic story line from the original film.

However, I purchased this film because I am a HUGE fan of 3D and own over 200 titles. My review reflects the 3D experience more than the film itself.

There is little 3D in this film at all and I changed 3D glasses twice assuming they were defective. Certain shots of the living room offer quite a bit of depth and there are a few "pop out of the screen" moments that work well, but for 90% of the film, the screen looked the same whether I had my glasses on or not. Even the "tunnel" to the "Ghost Dimension" was less impactful than it should have been due to only what I can assume was a hasty 3D post-conversion.Read full review...

3D, This is NOT!!!

If you are looking for 3D value, pass this up. Early review about weak 3D is right. The whole movie has less than 20 minutes worth. First I thought my glasses were not working but noticed the 3D only activated during certain scenes and the majority of the movie was NOT shot in 3D. What a waste of money.Read full review...
