Paranormal Activity DVD
This was a gift that was requested for Christmas from a 15 year old girl. She has received and and told me she loves the movie and has watched it several times already.

very different horror movie not very gory but makes yoy think. I purchased it because of all the talk about the movie when it was in the theatre
Be prepared to be scared . . .
Remember when you were a wee kid and your big brother used to scare the pants off of you by sneaking around and making a small scary noise or flickering the lights? This movie is a lot like that - it reaches the primal fear in all of us.
I bought this movie because I giess I'm not hip enough to download the torrent and my local video shop does not carry it. I have found as I have gotten older that I am not a real fan of "horror" flicks because I get really annoyed by the MTv style strobe camera work and all the ceaseless gore. This movie has none of that. It is an old fashioned, truly frightening movie that actually gave me goosebumps and slept with the light on that evening.
It is the story a MIcah and Katie, a young couple from San Diego with no apparent source of income, but a really nice middle class house, who are experiencing what Katie calls a reoccurrance of paranormal activity that happend to her as a child of 8 and again some years later. Micah decides that the best way to deal with this activity is to record every minute of their waking and sleeping lives, and let me tell you, things build up.
As far as the production goes, I could find absolutely no fault in the seemingly hand held camera angles. At no point did I feel there was a crew with a boom mike and the rest of the gear. It felt entirely real, and was made more convincingly so by the 2 young actors featured in this film. Their acting felt real, and myself, as a viewer felt genuinely like I was watching their home movies. I was very impressed. The only character that did not ring true was the gentleman who portrayed the medium. He had that Quentin Tarentino-ish gotta-be-a-friend-of-the-oriducer kind of fakeish feeling to him, particularly on his second visit to the house.
No spoilers here though. I would not hesitate to recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good, creepy fright!

best paranormal movie ever!!!!
this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. I have watched it countless times and i am never bored. This is a must see and with the alternate endings they really suprize you

I absolutely loved it! It was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint. Scary and suspenseful. A great buy through ebay.
Decent flick
It kept me involved. Nothing scared me too much...but I loved the last scene and think they did a decent job for such a low budget film.

I always wanted to go see this movie,. but i have no time. so when i saw it at e-bay i had to get it. i love this movie and it was so scarry, but i good scarry.

It was kind of a waist of time to watch...
I did not like this movie very much... I was so excited to see it but by the time it was over I was very disapointed. It could have been so much better if the movie had a better screen writer.
