horrible movie

This looks like a movie made in 1950 about soldiers who must fight a war they don't believe in and under the command of complete idiots, I cannot believe that a very good director like Stanley Kubrick did such a terrible movie, plus it's in black and white, if it was in color - as is natural in these times - the movie might have few positives, but as it is, it's really horrible, I threw away my money by buying it and if I gift it to someone else, I only do to upset the receiver.Read full review

This is a powerful War Drama that takes place during World War 1, known at the time as The Great War. It is an artistic, cinematic and directorial gem directed by Kubrick.

If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted movie, this is NOT for you. It is, however, a poignant cinematic masterpiece. Like many of Kubrick's films, it has an anti-war theme.
