Works well but has a limited life.

This is the third Intellichlor Power Center I've had to purchase. We live in Georgia and run the unit about 12 hours per day for about seven months per year. I get about three years of service at which time they simply stop working. The issue may be something as simple as a power supply that goes bad, or not- but I know of no way to do diagnostics on the unit (and of course there's no one to help with this). So, a new unit must be purchased. The salt water pool is certainly much more pleasant than a chlorine pool, but the costs are definitely higher than many would tell you.Read full review...

I hooked this Power Center to a Pentair 520555 IntelliChlor IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator Cell.

I figured the old power supply was just providing enough power to make everything look like it was working normally but after testing the water there was no chlorine being generated!
