Color bulbs are amazing

I always thought color lights were kitschy but the Philips Hue Color bulbs are actually pretty spectacular. The app is pretty easy to navigate and you can create custom 'scenes' that allow you to set all of the lights at once to a pre-fixed color and brightness. The only thing that isn't ideal is that the color bulbs reset to the yellowish color of the regular bulbs when you turn them off, but it's super easy to change them back. On top of that, I could see a situation where you just want them to work like regular lights for most of the time. Installation was a little more difficult than expected, as I had an existing huge bridge so I had to use their serial # (vs. just pressing "find" in the app) to set them up. I imagine that's because these (and others I've used) were already linked with the bridge, so I can't detract for that b/c it would be difficult from an engineering perspective to differentiate between a lightswitch and an installation.

I installed these in my kitchen and it automatically made dinners more relaxing and romantic. It's difficult to overstate just how big of a difference these made haha.Read full review...
