Great game for the Wii. Wish the whole game was two player and not just the challenge or arena modes.
I have played Pikmin on the Wii and Pikmin 3 on the Switch and decided I had to try Pikmin 2 so I could experience the complete set. Pikmin 2 takes what is great about the original, expands it, adds some weirdness and drops what didn't work - I'm looking at you, 30 day limit on gameplay!
The game is fun, quirky, has a weird sense of humor, challenging unique puzzles and just makes you want to keep playing.
The only big complaint I have - the game is listed as being two players. I bought it to play with my kids. Sadly even after finding your missing crew member, you cannot do two player, at least not on the main story mode. There is a competitive arena mode you can play at the start. I did some Googling and found there is a two player cooperative mode, but you have to get pretty far into the game and beat a boss to unlock the co-op mode.
I'm still glad I bought it, but spending more time playing it solo than together with my family which is a slight disappointment.Read full review...

Really Amazing Best in the Series
BEST PIKMIN GAME in the series for me a big improvement over the first game in terms of quality and quantity with the new pikmin types and ditching the daytime limit system. Instead of focusing on survival like in the first game you have to find valuable junk that is valuable to Olimar's planet to get out of debt. Love the caves and love Louie hes an adorable character. Pikmin 2 is fun and chaotic strategy!
Pikmin 2 is difficult and chaotic but that's what makes it so amazing at times. There's so much to do and it's fun to learn to be good at the game! Theres no real time limit besides the day counters and it's just a constant rush of fun gameplay all throughout.

Underrated Nintendo series
really fantastic game series. People tend to not like this one because of the difficulty and the fact that there isn’t a 30 day limit anymore like the first but I never really cared about that.
