Rare Tracks - New Faves

I found this album when looking for early tracks from Everything But The Girl because I am a huge fan of Tracey Thorn. This album contains rare early tracks from Tracey as a solo artist as well as with Ben Watt. As wonderful as these tracks are, it was the bands I discovered on this album that made me listen to it over and over. From the Nightingales to Eyeless in Gaza, I found bands I wish I had known about back in the Eighties. Better late than never.

While I would normally recommend vinyl, with this compilation you will get more tracks with the CD. Some aren't as good as the original vinyl playlist (just my opinion), but they are definitely worth a listen. A must-have for any fan of New Wave and independent music in general.
