The Platinum Edition DVD has extras that are lacked from the Signature Collection DVD. I was excited after receiving it. The picture is clean like new. Best DVD collection of Pinocchio ever.

Great Value! For Disney Enthusiasts!

The movie itself is one of Walt Disney's classic gems and I have to say it basically became one of the staples in shaping what Disney is known today. When I purchased this DVD, I enjoyed what I watched. Given its somewhat dark nature, it provided a lesson on what the consequences can be about if you aren't careful in making the right choices.

Overall, I liked it for the special features on how the entire movie was assembled and what scenes were excluded or unwanted, but disliked the games which were unnecessary in my opinion. This 70th Anniversary edition really stood out and improved compared to its previous DVD edition a decade prior (admittedly, I never purchased Pinocchio on DVD before, this being my first). I would recommend this to those searching for Disney animated films of Walt Disney's era. Without one of these early roots, the Disney animated movies of this current decade wouldn't be as they are today.Read full review...

A classic that when brought to dvd meets up to the platinum standard...

On this 2 disc special platinum edition of the classic Pinocchio you will relive those wonderful memories you once experienced as a child now in beautiful vibrant colors much better than the vhs.
I myself saw this movie as a child on vhs and when I purchased the new dvd I was pleasantly surprised to see the new features and beautiful display.

Great way to help build a child's character in a subtle manner.

I purchased this for my great grandson to enjoy, the same as I did when I was a child. The old Disney movies seem to have a great moral value to them and the characters seem more lovable to me. Evidently, my great grandson enjoys them as my grand-daughter told me he sits and watches the Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi classic Disney movies that I have purchased for him.

I've been looking to get this movie for my son's, as I grew up with these characters. Every were I looked, either didn't have it or wanted over $20+ dollars for it. The movie is in great and new condition like stated, however, the movie isn't completely brand new. The Disney Movie Rewards code was missing.
