Plantronics BackBeat Go Bluetooth headset

Great product. easy to set up. Good sound. Good range from the transmitter. The only downside is the battery life only about 2-3/4 hours before a recharge is needed. I purchased a refurbished unit that has performed as it should for weeks of daily use.

Long term review....

After 1 year of use the battery degraded to a point where they were unusable. The price was low and they did last 1 year working good 5 days a week. I would purchase another unit.

Ok but not great for me.

In theory they are pretty cool due to how basic and portable they are.
Battery life it's short compared to other headphones. My biggest issue with them is getting them to stay in my ears well. Even with the little "wings" on there. They didn't seem as comfortable either for an extended period of time. I could feel the hard plastic under the bus tips. Perhaps it is due to me being a big guy and the tips weren't big enough to hold the bus in place properly without me having to force them in a little deeper. Also, the call quality want as good as some of the others as far as the Mic goes. But in it's defense, I work in a noisy area.
In the end, they didn't fit me well, battery only lasted about 2 hours, and my calls suffered.
I ended up spending less on an LG lookalike that is more comfortable, battery last way longer and makes better calls.

Great except for one flaw

These are great sounding headphones and pair very easily with iPhone and the computer. Battery life is great for such a small headset and the features are easy to use. The acid test is calling my wife and she didn't notice I was wearing them, I guess that means the noise cancellation and microphone are good.

What is utterly baffling is that they don't pair with more than one device. This is extremely annoying because to switch from your iPhone to the computer you have to DELETE the headset device pairing on the computer then set the headset in paring mode and repair. This can take 2 minutes. When you switch back the iPhone you have to do the same, delete the device then repair. This is just a crazy stupid omission on the part of Plantronics. A Jam-box for example has no problem remembering my computer, iPhone and iPad, it will connect with whichever is nearest and has Bluetooth on allowing me to switch it at will.

Disappointing

These earbuds provides a clear sound in the mid to high range but lacks an acceptable presentation of bass (no bottom). Bass can be heard similar to what is heard from a transistor radio. Upon first using these earbuds, I assumed they were defective, but after reading about them online, there is much discussion about the lack of bass. It seems Plantronics has plans for future improvements in the bass presentation. These are good for listening to audio (I listen to lots of sermons) but not music. The quality of build, design and connectivity is great. I just expected a better fuller sound.Read full review...

Good value

Sound quality is good for this price class, battery lasts for 4-5 hours.
The soft rubber tips fit comfortably in ears. Bluetooth connection is quick and easy.
Just don't expect noise insolation too much, not for this price.Read full review...

My Fav Bluetooth!

The moment I step out of my house I have them on and ready to take calls hands free.
They fit perfectly and they really do hold up to sweat- as I’ve used during workouts and they’ve never stopped working.
This is my second pair, as the one I used for almost 3yrs got destroyed by my dog.
My only complaint is I wish the case fit better because I feel like I’m jamming the headset inside of it.
All-in-all, I recommend this Bluetooth because it can be relied on and holds up- as promised- to sweat.

Excellent vocal clarity, good range and music playback, fits comfortably!

My first experience with this bluetooth wireless headset was during the summer of 2012. I tried several manufacturers offerings, including LG, Motorola, and Plantronics. This headset is the lightest offering of the bunch, and it is easy to forget that your're wearing them if the buds are not inserted into your ears.

Conversations are clear and concise, though the extremely petite volume/hook/on-off controls are troublesome to operate without looking at them for people with large fingers. The ear buds stay in place and are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

My primary use for them is to listen to audio tracks as I work. The downside is the lack of bass response, as opposed to the LG Tone series.

Battery life is better than expected, I observed a four hour life from a full charge.

Overall, the Plantronics Backbeat Go 2 headsets are number one in daily use for conversing with people, and number two for audio listening due to the lack of bass response.

Pretty good running earbuds.

The stabilizer works pretty well for the most part. It does slip at times when jogging but not much. The volume is loud enough that you can still be aware but I would not recommend these for the road when jogging or running. They are best for the gym and a jog around the park where there are no cars. I can't really hear too much outside noise without somebody having to raise their voice. Overall, these are a good investment for the gym lover or the park jogger.Read full review...

What's Good?
I like the BackBeatGO a lot.
Very easy to use.
Comfortable fit.
Pretty good sound. No booming bass, but adequate.
I use them primarily for listening to music when working out. When I'm doing a lot of moving around, (running or taking jumps and bumps on my bike) the earbuds don't come loose or fall out. They fit in my ears very securely and comfortably.
Adequate battery life.
For the price - they do a nice job.

What's not as good?
I wouldn't exactly call this bad. I wish they were just a couple ticks louder. I personally like to listen to my music pretty loud sometimes. Honestly, probably a little louder than is healthy for my hearing. These fall just a little short in how loud I can crank them up. (I'd like them to go to 11, but they only go to 9)
Having said that, you won't have a problem with not being able to hear what you're trying to listen to. Even in a noisy environment, the noise reduction does a very good job, so your music won't be drowned out by background noise. I can wear these mowing the lawn, and my lawnmower is pretty damn loud. They block out the background noises very well, so you're pretty much only hearing what's coming out of the headphones. But, if you want to crank it up, these won't take you there.

Overall - For the money I spent, I am happy with what they do.

Not bad for the money.

Good connection, battery took longer to charge, but has decent battery life. Not crazy about only 1 set of ear fittings, had to find a smaller set to have a better fit.
