It's Pokemon Emerald.

I have a lot of great memories of playing Pokemon Emerald with my cousins and I'm happy to have it again. Pokemon Emerald plays out a bit differently from Ruby and Sapphire and it takes some adds some extra features such as moving entry sprites, additional Pokemon, and an updated Pokenav. one of the better pokemon games

I love this game. I had it before and my daughter lost it. we had all the pokemon that you can catch from leaf green/fire red to emerald. we caught and traded pokemon between ruby, sapphire, leaf green, fire red, and emerald until we had all that could be caught. the only ones we did not have are the one that you could only get at Nintendo events.
here's a tip for those who play this game, do not use the MASTERBALL when you get it,,SAVE IT... after you beat the elite 4 at the end of the game and you reach the "Battle tower" there is a "clone cheat" where you can clone your pokemon and if your pokemon is holding an item(such as a MASTERBALL) it will clone the pokemon and the item.
then you can go after the Legendary pokemon that are impossible to catch.
if you don't know the cheat you can search on youtube or google.

Still One of the Best Pokemon Games.

Pokemon Emerald version is the definitive pokemon game for the gameboy advanced.

The 3rd generation of games in the series had Ruby and Sapphire versions, Emerald taking the best of both games and mashing them into one cart. It's also fully compatible with both Ruby and Sapphire, as well as FireRed and LeafGreen, so you can trade and battle with all 5 games.

A big draw to the gba games was the updated graphics compared to the previous games. You're headed to a new town, fresh off the moving truck and you find yourself neighbors with the region's Pokemon Professor and their kid, who will be either a boy or girl depending on what you chose when you started. Right away the world is beautiful and only gets better as you explore the region. The music for these games is also incredible and pretty unique even compared to the newest Pokemon games.

Cons:

I really only have one major con to these games:
The games are old, released originally in 2004, and the game's clock runs off a battery that is most likely dried up by now. The battery only affects time related events, like berry plants growing, clocks telling time and other small events that can sometimes leave you without items you might want. Nothing important, but it's annoying.
You can get batteries pretty easily, but you have to solder a new one in, which can potentially ruin the cart if you're not careful.

Great game!

The game is great! It was in my line up of beating all the Pokemon games and so I decided to purchase it here. Anyways, the product is absolutely great - it was much better than what I expected. For a very cheap price, it came not only in perfect condition with the game itself looking polished and clean, but also came with a little case to keep it in! An amazing deal and would definitely recommend buying. Otherwise, the game is very fun, and a must play if you're the competitive sort who needs to beat all the Gens.Read full review...

A small step forward, with a big view of the future of the series.

This has always been a great game, in my library at least.

You have the standard copy-paste formula of the major Pokemon RPG's, adventurer from X town travels throughout Y region to beat Gym Leaders and become champion of the Pokemon League, all while fighting Team Z and your rival. Rather than diminishing from the experience, the familiarity and intuitiveness make it easy to use, whether you're a vet or picking up a Pokemon game for the first time. It has a few new features, but apart from the double battle, new features for berries, and the Battle Frontier, nothing worth writing about.

The graphics are good, and I would argue, better than the new DS games. I prefer clarity and sharpness over 3D. Similar to Ruby and Sapphire, a generation better than Gold and Silver, and a world apart from Red, Blue, and Yellow.

The music isn't too remarkable. It's good, and it's varied enough to prevent, in my opinion, it getting stagnant, but it doesn't stand out quite like the originals, but that could be my nostalgia kicking in.

The controls are easy to master, same as all other Pokemon games.

The new Pokemon are interesting, along with a good selection of legendaries for the collector(the cover Pokemon being my favorite of all time, except for Mew of course).

All in all, this game, while similar to all the other ones, stands out through it's storyline, (which I left out because A. There are tons of places to read about it, and B. I don't like giving spoilers.), its Pokemon, and its ability to stick to the tried and true formula without getting old.

As the last Pokemon game on the GBA, except for FireRed and LeafGreen, this was the game that set up the stage for the ones to follow, to cross the threshold to the future of the series.

great game

the emerald version u guys sold me rocks. i got everything i seen advertised. i only have a small thing i wanna get off my chest....in my items screen i have alot of things i really dont need or use(guard spec. etc) And when i access my computer in the game, i see alot of enticing items i would like to withdraw 2 use but cant because my because my bag is full to the max with infinite items and gets tricky when u try depositing '99' ZINC's only 2 find out your computer is filled completely as well. it took me alittle while 2 figure this out and what i had 2 do was toss away the items i dont use(99 guard spec's, 99 X accuracy's ) just so i could withdraw a few heart scales. wheter or not i am at fault 4 not contacting u guys prior 2 shipping about items i would've liked 2 have in my immediate inventory is surpassed by the joy of having all pokemon in the game available from the start at lvl. 100 AND shiny versions of them as well. overall this is a small blemish on an otherwise awesome product. i most definantly would recomend u guys 2 anybody out there and look forward 2 doing business with y'all again, thanksRead full review...

Great Pokemon game

Out of the gameboy and gamboy andvance pokemon games emerald is one of the top. It still has a few drawbacks just like every game ever made but is a major upgrade from the older red, blue, green, and special edition yellow.

Great upgrade is the ability to run around. So instead of having to walk or use a bike all the time you now have the ability to run durring the game which makes the game play faster and better to play. Walking everywhere or using a bike is a major pain and the ability to run is a nice improvment.

THe new pokemon is something that has always happened just like in silver and gold. The graphics upgrade is great. The motion of the pokemon when in battle and the atmasfeir when playing the game changes around you and makes the game play so much better. Through all the upgrades the graphics is the most improved.

THe new moves and way the trainers back is set-up is great and easy to use. Good to find anything you want and easy to move things around in your pack wihtout the use of cheats or having to deposit and withdraw them from a computer is great.

Overall it is one of the best games for the gameboy advance.

The Standard By Which I Measure New Pokemon Games

I have played every Pokemon game (the games in which you are a trainer after the gym badges), from Yellow version on the GBC to this year' Soul Silver version, and I keep coming back to this game. The appeal of the original Pokemon games, the immersion into a new world filled with wonderous creatures and the thrill of capturing and battling with them, was captured in this game. The third generation of Pokemon introduced 134 new monsters, more than any other excepting the first. These Pokemon are some of the cooling-looking and most-powerful that were ever rolled out by Game Freak, and are some of the first reached for by competitive battlers still today, they rock. In this generation of games you are exposed to almost exclusively new Pokemon (a strategy used in the award-winning Pokemon Black and White released in Japan in September) and it works. The most compelling thing about Pokemon Emerald is that it took all the great things from Ruby and Sapphire and made them even better. Emerald improved on graphics, storyline, and content. Emerald is also the most difficult Pokemon game to date, so if you're looking for a challenging Pokemon game (which is more fun in my opinion) then look no further. Altogether Pokemon Emerald is one of the best pokemon games because of the amount of things to do (Battle Frontier (which is a multiplayer sanctuary), Pokemon Contests (which you can do with friends as well!), making PokeBlocks (multiplayer), catching Johto pokemon in th Safari zone, diving under water to find treasure and new pokemon, walking through blistering deserts, wandering abandoned ships, foiling the plots of team Magma and Aqua (the story is so much better with both of them in it!), turning off powerplants, filling out the pokedex, going through the main story, and just exploring!), all the legendary pokemon (from ruby and sapphire plus even more!), and the difficulty level (it makes a game that much more compelling).Read full review...

Pokemon Emerald

The original is just way to expensive, it's around $50, this is a much better option if you want the full authentic game play of pokemon emerald. Buy this if you want to play on a real device. You can get the rom and play it on your phone or computer but it doesnt feel natural, this is the best cheap authentic option out there.Read full review...

Old Time Trainer looking for New Adventure

I got this game because I had Pokemon Yellow for the longest time after losing my copy of Red :'( and I honestly can't even say how many times I beat that game and got bored and started over. I wanted something fun and new, and I was finally willing to abandon the original 151 and explore the rest of the Pokemon world for new creatures and quests. I've been more than satisfied so far with the change in gameplay and the new components of the game that can keep an "Old Time Trainer" like me on my toes. It's fun to reminisce and yet enjoy a whole new experience all in one game. I would definitely approve this game for anyone in the same boat as me, but maybe not for those who already own Ruby and Sapphire, since this will be essentially the same game as those, except better. In any event, this is a great game, and it receives my expert trainer stamp of approval. lol. Enjoy!Read full review...
