If you want to "catch em all" then you have to buy this game!

Pokemon White is one of the best Pokemon games yet for many different reason. First of all the graphics are amazing. It is all 3D animation and everything is very detailed. There's a new season every month and the graphics change with it; for example if it is winter there will be snow falling and during fall there will be leaves everywhere. Also this game has the night and day features which brings back the fond memories of Gold/Silver/Crystal. There are many new Pokemons to catch and you can also have TRIPLE BATTLES. That means you can have 3 Pokemons battling at a time! There is also 2 great new wifi features. One of the ones is Random Battles; in this feature you do not have to put in a friend code or anything, you just hit search and the game finds you an opponent and you battle. Another is a new GTS feature; in this GTS you find a random person to trade with without putting any codes in, then you can compare Pokemons until you agree to a trade. The storyline is basic Pokemon story where a group of people try taking over the world and you have to save everybody. What makes it fun is all the new features and keeps the game fresh. There is GREAT REPLAY VALUE. If you enjoyed past Pokemon games you will love this one!

Meh, not so good

As far as pokemon games go this one is pretty mediocre. The game play is long but not complex and feels very much like a generic copy of every other pokemon game. A lot of the actual pokemon just seem like literal redraws of the original pokemon: a tadpole, a dog, a cat, a duck, a rat, a pigeon, a bat, a bull, an electric rat, a turtle, a crab and worst of all another crappy heart shaped fish. The obvious duplication goes beyond just the pokemon but there are just too many things to list. The game play is also very dulled down and basic, not much thought involved. Another thing that I really disliked was how wi-fi based a lot of the play is and essentially integrated into the game. Wi-fi doesn't seem to be going away soon but the problem is that when I have kids and there isn't a wi-fi that's comparable with this game it will be pretty much unplayable. There are also (as far as I know) a few pokemon that are only attainable through special events that are out of the game and no longer available to people who have gotten the game later, especially in countries other than japan. I enjoyed it purely for the nostalgia but as a game has become a simple mode for making money. Not developed by a company that is interested in making a quality play.Read full review...

Gen 5 rises again.

The game is just as I remember it. The soft reboot aspects of Gen 5 bring back a wave of nostalgia for the previous games but I love the story and gameplay aspects of White! The music is stellar and the little visuals are nice to notice as well.Read full review...

Good game, worth the price.

The game is in good condition and just as fun as I remember it being as a kid. It's kinda old but I think the graphics still have a bit of charm to them and hold up just fine. The gameplay is simple yet addicting and goes by the same formula as any other regular Pokemon game with a few extra features than it's predecessor's like battling with two Pokemon at once. Excellent game to the Pokemon Series

I got the game today, (the day it was actually release) and from what I can see, it is very well done. It is the pretty much the same idea as the other Pokemon games in the series, there is just a new region with new Pokemon and you are on a new adventure.

What i really like about the game is that there is only 150 or so Pokemon in the game and it gives you that feel from when you first played the original Blue and Red, only a few Pokemon where you have to learn them all over. you can get the rest after you beat the game so don't worry, The other...300 or so are in there, you just need to beat the game first. The Pokemon cries are much better than in previous versions. Plus the story is quite well done, Graphics are still about the same as Soul silver and Heart gold but still great.

There is not that much I didn't like, I guess just the fact that you could not trade over any of the 1st-4th generation Pokemon until you beat the game but really, that is not that bad. Another thing that kind of was annoying was your "best friends" that you get introduced to at the start, kind of weird that you have to be introduced though you are life time friends in the game. but other than that, it is great.Read full review...

Needed to move my Pokémon

I wish I saved my old Pokémon games so I wouldn’t have to buy the. Again at ridiculous prices, I used to have white 2 and it’s now almost $100, and I need them cause my bf found his old platinum game and we need a black and white one to transfer over his old Pokémon. So this is a great budget option if yer getting this specifically to transfer older Pokémon to current generation. Only thing is this was sent as a new game so I had to beat it in order to transfer them so I recommended getting one with a used save file to hopefully skip that. Also there’s a new thing where some fans opened up the old servers and now you cns get all the online event Pokémon in this game which is awesome, I love my shiny creation trio.Read full review...
