Presonus Faderport is a great value.

With the Presonus Faderport I no longer have to use the mouse all the time which makes it easier for recording, I can stand in front of the mic with my finger on the record button and hit record when I need to. Although the software that came with it was cracked I did not need it because the Faderport linked right up to my DAW (Studio One Pro.). I don't use it for automation since I have Waves vocal rider to do automation, although it would be great for that. Overall the presonus Faderport as with all presonus products that I have used is of great value.Read full review

I love it it speeds up my workflow a lot!

This works great it speeds up my workflow a lot I use it with Cakewalk sonar Platinum it works great 90% of the time every once in awhile it gets out of sync with the software I just unplug it and plug it back into the USB port and it works fine again. I've learned never to expect Perfection from competing companies and this has way more benefit than hassle.Read full review

Still the better single-fader choice for Cubase / Nuendo!

For use with Cubase / Nuendo, this older Faderport Classic still performs better as it is natively supported by the DAW (the new Faderport 2018 can only be set up as a Mackie Control (MCU) device, requiring you to bank to the channels you are working on (it doesn't chase to your selected channel).Read full review

Great for home user

As a small home based engineer, this is a great tool that does what it should. Word to the wise, dont get the latest update as it removes motor function to the fader. I had to revert back to original driver, but that worked. Otherwise, awesome product.Read full review

Plug and play

I connected the Faderport to Reaper, selected it under "Control surfaces" in Reaper's Preferences, and it worked perfectly right away. It's much easier than mousing, or even using keyboard shortcuts.<br>
During recording it frees me from reaching for the computer between takes (a particular hassle on acoustic guitar). During mixing it makes automation dead simple: select the track you want to tweak using the Faderport's "Channel select" buttons; click the "Touch" button; ride the fader. Much simpler than creating an automation curve on-screen using a mouse.

I've had zero problems with the unit, and I believe the Reaper community has developed a third party driver that offers even more features - I look forward to checking that out. No negatives from me at this point; the Faderport has made my DAW easier to drive, less time-consuming and more powerful.

Seamless install for use with Presonus Studio One. I find it to be a useful tool for the left hand while the right can still mouse around.

Correct Fader port HUI config. With pro Tools DAW

This Product works fine but can give some troubles for Pro tools users at the begining.
First: drivers package download from Presonus homepage contains drivers for Digital performer, Live, Logic and (the 4th one i dont remember), but nothing about Pro Tools. This coul be a little anoying because makes you doubt abou will or will not work in your system.
Fortunatelly it works anyway, but you have to be carefull in the configuration of the sysyem.
When you select peripherals in Pro Tools menu, be sure to set your fader port as the first HUI device.
Why? becaude first, i configured it as the second HUI device and it was imposible to navigate between tracks 9-16 or 17-24 using the bank button (this is suposed to be the way to work, but it failed) so i started to have black thoughts about compatibility with Pro tools DAW...and one idea come to my mind ..What if i try fader port as first HUI device and put my Midi controller as second. And what happen...it started to work perfectly !.
so i hope this post become useful for somebody have the same trouble, because Presonus troubleshooting speaks "zero" about that.
One point for me, not for developers....

Freakin' Awesome Daw Fader!

This motorized DAW fader is simply great! I bought my Presonus FaderPort after watching YouTube vids of this thing in action. It is USB-compliant, so it was very easy to install on my Windows and Apple workstations.

Simply put; PreSonus FaderPort will simplify your mixing workflow!
