The Priest is an above average Vampire Hunter movie

The world has been ravaged by a war between the humans and the vampires and over the years the Priests have giving their lives to defending the human population. The Priest (Paul Bettany) sets out on a journey to save the family he left behind when he chose to defend the human population.

This was a pretty good movie with a good plot and lots of action. Bettany give a good performance in this and the supporting cast helps the movie become one of the better human/vampire movies.

Great 3d effects and great action.

Movie is about a group of men & a woman trained to be a sort of assassins called the "priest" to get rid or terminate a herd of vampires. But the vampires are not human but creatures that can not see but can sense your whereabouts via senses and hearing. Only a human vampire was turned to be a vampire by the vampire queen after they (priest) were set up for an ambush and the human "priest" was captured and became a vampire. After a decade that supposedly all the vampire were all terminated or extinct...it wasn't known until a young girl was abducted and use as a hostage. Only a rouge priest who ignore the orders from the church who trained them went on his own w/ a help from a sheriff to find the girl. The sheriff is also involve w/ the young girl and the rogue priest in the close of the ending...was the biological father of the young girl and he is there to rescue his daughter. The human vampire formerly as one of the priest has an agenda to use a train to get inside the wall of the city w/ a herd of vampire creatures and lay havoc inside the city. But with the help from a woman priest...all three of them thwarted the train and in the ending, ended up blowing the train as it speed up to get to the city including the human vampire priest. Since the vampire queen wasn't in the train...the rouge priest continue on to find the queen once he went back to the church and showed the church leader the head of a vampire creature as proof. Good Sci-Fi and Action movie

Good 3D and Sci-Fi movie. It is not a religious flick at all. There is some Catholicism, but the main point of the film is the Priests against the demons. Great action and not too gory.
