I really liked the movie. I like movies such as this. Movie is a 2011, this is the first time I have ever seen it. The war between humans and vampires goes on. Wish movie had a sequel.

Imagine a future in a world devoid of hope. Man’s inhumanity has led to society’s devolution, and left civilization on the brink of disaster. In its search for salvation in the darkness, the Church has assumed control. Its mortal enemy over time is a clan of vampires. Battles have been waged, and at first mankind were on the verge of defeat, that is until the Church developed a class of warrior Priests. These highly skilled and powerful fighters turn the tide, and there ensues a peace treaty of sorts. Without an enemy to battle, the Priests are relegated to lives of reflection and obedience to the Church. That is until the brother and his family, of one of the Priests, are slaughtered by vampires and their daughter taken. The Priest played by Paul Bettany, against the dictate of the Church, seeks vengeance and goes in search of his niece. This is a dark action-packed horror movie with plenty of battle scenes and first rate special effects. Good flick, but then it has Karl Urban...

Priest is an entertaining movie. Good versus evil but then that is life as we know it. Having Karl Urban as the lead 'evil' is a very good idea and Maggie Q is a welcome addition as the Priest's aide. Art should reflect life and this movie does that, not to mention being timely. Question authority is not a bad sub-plot. Worth the price.
