You'll wonder how you ever did without one!

- Why you bought it: I think an electric eye is safer than gas. Unfortunately, my apartment only has gas stoves. When I needed another eye while cooking for the holidays, my son saw this and I immediately thought of a million uses for it. My mother used to have one when we were young and my father was making another Military move - hers had two eyes and allowed her to make dinner pretty quick for a couple of days, until the house we were moving into was furnished. That was like camping out in the house: fun!

- What you like most about it: It's perfect! Fits under the counter and in the cabinet when not in use, it's easy to clean, and you can literally plug it up and use it anywhere. It heats up cold food, cooks raw food, works with large or small pots - YOU control the level of heat.

- What you dislike about it: Ummmm - that I only have one? (So far.)

Solid, all-metal construction.

This is a solid, high-quality hotplate. Slightly taller than I imagined, but very solidly built, and has been very reliable. We use it regularly with a pressure cooker.

very convenient little burner, but the knob doesn't seem to work, it is very loose, so you have to plug and unplug it to turn it on and off, other than that, everything is good
