A solid shooter on shaky ground.
Although Snowblind is a good game, and it is, it still suffers from the very problems that reject it from the halls of FPS greatness. Like most cookie cutter FPS games, this one follows the same lame tradition of enemies taking more damage than they should as the game moves forward. I'm sorry, but halfway thru, you should NOT have to empty a full clip into a guy just to bring him down, especially if you shoot said enemy in the HEAD.
I understand this is science fiction and yes, a "video game", but lets keep atleast one thing real as possible...headshots=fatality. Normally I wouldn't have a problem laying down heavy ordinance into a baddie if lets say...he was 20ft tall with crazy armor. This is what kept that arcade shooter Killzone from greatness (It's crappy online didn't help it either).
Oddly enough Snowblind multiplayer still offers a lot of fun...atleast when you can find a running game, I've yet to see more than 5 rooms open, let alone join a game with more than 8 people playing at any given time (on XBL live atleast). Although the weapons are fun to use, they are highly impractical...come on, show me one sniper that would actually opt for a rifle with a glowing muzzle! Is this their idea of military future and practicality?!
Anyway, thats a mild, albeit annoying issue, the real problem with the multiplayer is with weapon/class balance. You'll find that the majority of the ppl will choose the Agent class using the Rail gun (in conjunction w/vision that see's warm bodies through any wall). Yes, this game has that one weapon that just ruins it for everyone else. The lame BFG that's just unstoppable and unfair. No matter where you are on the map, how well you hide, your an easy target for any lamer to cap you, thus forcing you to eventually turn to the dark side and use it yourself just to stay even.
But all that aside, Snowblind is a fairly solid game and definitely fun to play. But does it compare with the greats like Goldeneye, Halo, Socom2 or Half-Life?...absolutly not!Read full review...
Project Snowblind
This is a solid first person shooter with good controls, immersive action that puts you in the war and good level design, what makes it cool is there are alot of weapons and unique special abilities for your character. This is actually a spin off of Deus X and it is actually more like the original Deus X but i would say has better gameplay and smoother framerate than invisible war although invisible war had more drastic lighting. the sound design is well done and the weapons sound great. the graphics are a mixed bag, some things are really good and some things like some textures are a little muddy, but overall the graphics are pretty good with bloom lighting and cool special effects. The story is o.k. but the action is what keeps you going, it will probably take around 10 to 15 hour to complete, average for FPS, and at usually around $10.00 its definatly worth playing. i would give it around an 8.75 on a scale of 1-10.Read full review...
Poor Man's Halo
At first I thought this game would be really cheesy, but it was a pleasant surprise. Project: Snowblind has some really fun combat moves and very intersting levels...reminds me a lot of Halo.....great bargain for under $5 (used) on ebay.Read full review...
Xbox game---Project Snowblind
Purchased game for our grandson. His opinion...it's awesome! We're very happy we got it. The graphics are very good and the action is fun and challenging.
Ok Game but harder than hell
This game is fun but trying to figure out the controls for the gun is a real pain. graphix are pretty good and the gameplay other than the weapons is great.
My thoughts on the game recently purchased.
I bought the game to play. It looked like it might be a fun game. The game would not work on my xbox so I ended up with nothing. The good thing was the game was cheap enough and the postage to send it back would be to much.Read full review...

Like the game very much . Cant really find anything wrong with it. Found it both challenging and entertaining.
